2-3 is fine, I am pretty sure the game runs at 0 sim speed unless someone goes negative (not sure tho)

Also the 9400GT isn't really a top of the line card, you can get a 9800GT for like $80 on newegg easily.

2-3 is fine, I am pretty sure the game runs at 0 sim speed unless someone goes negative (not sure tho)

Also the 9400GT isn't really a top of the line card, you can get a 9800GT for like $80 on newegg easily.

Turn sound fidelity to low turn fidelity to low/medium turn some stuff to medium or low. Overclock your e8400 to 3.6-4ghz easily on air. Buy a 9800gt or something newer, a lot of good cards are cheap now.

I'm using a 3870x2 and an [email protected] and I have to run the above settings at 1920x1080 to get 4ish sim speed in a 4v4 late game. 2v2 late game is 6ish. That 9400 is def a bottleneck for that good cpu though.

At first I want to say that there is no real problem with a minimum sim speed of at least 0, because every match can be played with normal speed this way. To increase you performance you can try to update driver... bla bla (I think you know the typically answers

) Or maybe it is time for a clean windows installation. And try all settings.

Yeah. Don't jump up to the end overclock you want right away, that's somewhat of a big increase from never overclocking it before. The best way would do small incremental changes and making sure your able to boot up and programs are stable. There are times when a lower overclock won't be as stable as a higher OC, it all depends on how your system likes you.

www.Hardforum.com If the only thing you changed was the fsb that wont work. Youll have to change some other things, and possibly update your bios to unlock multiplier. Depending on your ram, you will have to change the divider(This could be why you are crashing), you may also have to bump the vcore up SLIGHTLY.

You dont really have to do small bumps at a time with the core 2 duo line. Just read some forum posts/faqs on hardforum and you will have a much better understanding. Then use programs like Prime95/orthos, cpuz, and super PI to verify system stability after overclock.

You DON'T need to overclock your machine. It is your GPU holding you back, just get a new graphics card. A 9800GTX+ would be fine, if you have the money a GTX260 would be better.
