Timed Out

Might need a bit more info on this one.  Are both of you connecting from the same location(sharing a router)?  If not, what connection type and ISP are each of you using?

We are not sharing a router he lives about an hour away. I am using Bellsouth(DSL) he is using Comcast(Cable). We both use a Linksys Router.

I have all the formentioned solutions active.

Secondly, we are using a program to log outgoing/incoming connections and we found something strange. My router/modem is sending him to a ridiculous port between the ranges of 50000-60000. So I forwarded that port range and still haven't figured it out. We are still working on it.

Edit: Still not fixed. We have tried a billion things. I am going down to his house tomorrow to see if we can fix it. However, this is a very annoying thing to have happen considering I bought the game solely to play with him. I can host games with a full house and join games to a full house but only if he doesn't and vice versa for his side. Only difference is. when he joins a game I'm in, he times out. If I join one he is in, he times out. If he hosts and I join he times out. If I host a game and he joins, he times out. So he is getting the time outs not me. Any help on the matter is much appreciated.

It no longer sends him to a super ridiculous port range. Now, it sends him to the correct range "sometimes" and sometimes it sends him to 1221 or in that general port range. SO frustrating lol

Do you two have any sort of VPN (or Hamachi) connection between each other? How many connections to your local lan do each of you have? Even if there isn't a shared connection, are there any VPN\Hamachi connection at all in the mix?
