Regulus maim/mines slow bug?

Slowing done like no tomorrow

I played a game against a stacked team before. I was playing QoT and noticed that when I was walking over Regulus' mines I was being slowed down to a halt almost. THIS WAS AROUND THE BEGINNING OF THE GAME when most people were level 4-5 (not high enough for level 10 mines). I didn't use any skill to set off a MotB (plus I don't think he even had the skill) and the only debuff icon I saw was that of Maim.

I was trying to think that maybe the Poisoned Dagger favor item procs off of mines? and also stacks (each mine proccing another slowing effect)? Is this possible? I have never seen such slow speed in the beginning of the game. Even though I did not see the Poison Dagger debuff icon. I really am clueless as to why I was slowed down so bad.

Any insight?

this is an out-of-left-field theory, but it might explain things.

 

how's your PC, specifically graphics card? mine explosions throw alot of Shrapnel and Smoke, which the game actually spends alot of processing resources on. i'm wondering if your Sim Speed spiked downward because of the mine graphics. it would certainly make it look like you were moving extra slow (everything else would be super slow as well though). 

 

other than that i can't think of anything that would create the appearance of being slowed by a huge amount with no debuff icons to explain it.

That was what baffled me so much. My PC is fine (and of course you can compare your movement speed to other players in the game at the point) and the same slowing down by regulus' mines happened to a friend as well in the same game.. leading me to believe that maybe there is some kind of bug/exploit (like the buying/selling of idols) that perhaps affects Regulus mines. I have never seen such an extreme slowing effect in the earlier levels of the game.

I was faced against this today too.... was QoT (me) and Sedna against 2 Regulus. Around lvl 6, evertime i walked into a mine, i was slowed by 75%~... Maybe this could be because of stacking BUT, my Shamblers and Idols did the meatshield for me, so only mines from 1 regulus could have affected me... but slowed down by 75% mostly everytime. But we bashed them anyways

Possibly using Poisoned Dagger favor item plus main & mines?  Doesn't explain 75%. 

Poisoned Dagger (25%) + Main 2  (7%) + MoTB (20%) + Mines (??*) = 52%

*Tooltip says Mines slow @ level 10.

Realistically though, Dagger + Main would be 32% and that hurts...
