Not on my C drive please.

Is there an easy way to move Demigod off my C drive? I didn't see the option to install it anywhere and I was expecting it to ask me once the files were downloaded. My fault for assuming. Is there an exe in a temp folder somewhere I can use to re-install?

I don't feel like downloading 2.8gigs again.... Nothing but my OS on the C drive please.

Hmm, do you have a friend with a retail copy? You can try to install that and just login with your digital impulse.

Err, I've partitioned my hard drive as well, and I have it on my E drive. Dunno how you ended up with no option. Have you tried just moving the folder? Also, if you have the installer, I suggest you run it again. Please repost with exactly what happens when you download it off the site.

Impulse Orrb in upper left > Preferences... > Folders is where the option you are looking for is.

As for moving it... Impulse downloads the files directly, not an exe. However, I think you might be able to get around this by Right-clicking on the game and selecting Archive Application, then going back to the Orb and restoring the Archive. (Make sure to set the folder options above first.)

out of curiosity what do you use as your os drive?

Kitkun, Found the options in the Orb. Thank you, I will try archiving.

Pseudomelon, in the preferences Orb, the option to "ask" was not checked for me I'm assuming.  I bought  online and it showed up in my impulse account ( I'm a SoaSE customer also).

Tiduz, my OS drive is my C drive.  My games are on a different raided set of seperate Seagates.

If you have trouble with the archive option and are not averse to tweaking the registry, you can also just move the folder over manually and update the location in HKLM/Software/Stardock/Drengin.net/Demigod so Impulse can find it to do updates. For future installs, the locations can be set in the folders section of Impulse's preferences, as noted above.

All the major HDD manufacturers are about the same these days. Any of them can have a bad batch from time to time; if you look at the reviews of any drive, you'll pretty much always see a handful of people complaning of DOA drives or early failures. I've got a mix of WD, Maxtor, and Seagate drives myself though and it's been about a decade since I've had any drive go bad (and the RMA replacement for that one still works).
