Always displaying bars values

I know it has been asked before but I can't find the post asking for it so... Since I know how much mana my abities cost, I would be glad to know how much mana do I have without having to roll my mouse over my mana bar. Same for health, I would be happy to know if I can take a fully upgraded Pounce from Sedna or if I have to flee without having to move my mouse.

So if it's possible, please add something to choose between displaying values always or only when you roll-over the bars with your mouse. :grin:

I made a post regarding this sometime last week. Sorian released a mod that keeps them up. If you search the forums you will find it. And yes it should have been in the game from the word go :'(

Well, indeed there is a mod but you can't play online with it... :'( Since, like you, I think this should be a standard feature, well, I ask for it. Plus I don't think this should be too hard to implement but maybe I am wrong.  ^_^'

i asked for it during the beta. Many others people asked for it during the beta and after the release, and we don't even know if the devs will eventually add it. It's a standart feature that should be in the game, we shouldn't have to wait 6 monthes to see it coming. I can understand and forget the connectivity mess but some importants features are missing, and most of them are not even hard or time consuming to add, like this one.

Sorry, I [don't] work for GPG doing a lot of the coding and I just don't believe this change would be feasible.  I would have to find exactly where to change this in the code and then add 1 or 2 lines of code - possibly more if I were to make it an option rather than a change.  This would easily take 5-10 minutes to do (no exaggeration, programming is balls) and thus I just can't see it being on our list of things to do.

 

In other news, we've been working hard all month on new ai that will make singleplayer more exciting than ever.  This hasn't been announced yet, but in 1.11 we plan to add a "comp stomped" mode where you and other ai's can be stomped by the new and improved ai's before coming to forums to whine about issues that would only be important if this was a multiplayer centric game.

Well, I got a laugh out of it anyways.  My point is that I participated in a similar thread a month ago and it hasn't been changed yet so I don't expect it any time soon - so why not joke about it?
