Cant get update after name change

I thought my profile name would be my in game name and when it wasn't I changed my name so I would have the name I wanted.
Now impulse tells me "invalid stardoct.net account" because its trying to get the update using my old stardoct name to get the update. How do I tell it my new name? I tried reregistration and it says my key is already registered. Thanks in advance for your help.
