Teleport Effects not showing

I am running demi on a very high end PC (settings are on max with a 1920 x 1080 resolution).  The FPS is perfect and I never see any delays in animations.  However I have noteced that when a demi teleports to a location I do NOT see any teleport effects.  I was gonna bitch about how demi is lacking them coz suddenly a DG would appear in front of me while I am attempting to capture a flag. 

This was until my friends told me that with their comps (where they are running on lowest settings as they have lower specs then mine ) they are able to see the teleport effects.  Whats up with that?

it's seems random.  I'm on the lowest settings.  sometimes I see it, sometimes I don't.  Which is annoying.
