A minion Guard button (lower engage target radius and follow more closely).

Guard me with your lives!

I usually play as an Oak and I always tend to buy Monk and Priest minions to help out during battle. One thing that's been annoying me lately is how eager they are to move away from where I'm telling them to sit still to engage in combat or to stand there a good distance away trading pot shots at towers or enemies when I tell them to Regroup and I'm running away.

It's not that I don't want them to attack, but I just specifically want them to attack whatever's in a smaller attack range and not wobble their bloated and fat monkly bodies 25 feet away from where I place them to start attacking random things or to lag so far back behind me when I'm moving around or retreating.

So a Guard button for minions would be something that I would really, really like to see in a future patch :]

i think minion pathing, targetting, and general AI could be improved substantially.  This may be part of the "Command Queuing" that they've been working on.

The minion UI needs a major overhaul. I like your idea of guard, and in a similar vein, generals need a "hold position" command for their minions.

Exactly. Good summarization.

It's bizzare how long the agro range of priests is, which main use is to heal!

It's hard to keep them alive when there is a tower remotely near.
