Demigod's Most Useless Abilities

Demigod's Most Useless Abilities

Every strategy game always has something that is a joke, something that no one ever uses, or something that is just sheer useless. Whether it is the Limpet Drone from Command and Conquer Tiberium Sun or the Helicopter from Rise of......

At that point in the game, you should be dealing about twice the dps as Vengeance, and Angelic Fury means it's also AoE.

Please don't try to tell me that the AOE of Angelic Fury even approaches that of Vengeance. It's not even close.

counter priest healing is pretty useless  seeing as sedna cabn't even aoe creeps  so that is pretty useless

Priests are ridiculously underrated. If used properly (this applies both to general priests and reinforcement priests), they are ridiculously useful. Midgame, the reinforcement priests can be expected to heal about ~600 health, depending on how much actual health you have...and they can heal you every 8 seconds. That's 75 health per second! Higher-end priests are even better. Sedna's buffed priests can heal 30% of your max hp every 8 seconds.

Being able to render all that healing null is a ridiculous advantage.

also...yetis are awesome. Most people just don't know how to play minion builds.

Yeah, the range is smaller, but you could be shooting almost 4 times in the time it takes to cast Vengeance. And if you are running in to the middle of melees as Reg, you are doing something very, very wrong.

I have to disagree with all 3 of the skills listed in that link. They are useless for killing other Demigods, but they have their uses.

Deadeye - That's per normal shot. So if you fire every .5 seconds like some Regs do, then you've got a pretty good chance of stunning your target within 10 shots. The stun functions more like an interupt than a stun, thats why its only 0.3 seconds. Oak's skill does this same thing.

Angelic Fury(final thingy) - Great for creeps at end game if you didn't go with mines. And even if you did all damage adds up VERY fast. Especially against creeps.

Tribute - A 100% general QoT can use this without sacrificing much. The gold gained will help you get some nice late game cit upgrades or artifacts since you should have all the normal equipment by then.

Plague is not so useless as people make it out to be. the main uses, as have been mentioned by others, are for "tagging" and interrupting HoL (or any of the other effects that break on damage). those are both highly significant uses in my opinion, but thats not the only thing its good for.

Plague spreads around the map remotely and is contagious. it puts damage on your opponents without you being there. its like a passive -10 (or -15 at rank 2) to enemy health regen.

its immensely useful in gaining an advantage in unattended lanes where creep vs. creep is going on. your creep waves will win if the enemy is plagued. they'll advance further and push up the battle front deeper into enemy territory.

so yeah, the damage isn't going to be enough to win a specific encounter vs. an enemy DG but Plague has a much larger, distributed map influencing effect. it should not be discounted as readily as it is.

It's still a pathetic rate of activation, and the amount of time you are affected by it is nothing.

It's very clear this was meant to try to mirror the Sniper's headshot ability in Dota, but it simply doesn't work the same - you cannot get attack speed nearly as high as Dota and the chance of activation is much lower.  You can see headshot lock at work with a mkb or two in Dota.  Not gonna happen in Demigod.

You do more AoE damage with wings then you do with Angelic Fury. Not to mention it puts you back into normal mode, and then to activate it you have to change form again. Thats about 4 seconds wasted. Its not worth it.

When your level 15 you would have gotten all the big upgrades and you will be getting your money off creeps. The only reason this is such a bad ability is because its such a late game move.
