How is experience calculated?
I seem to have the same amount of experience in custom games.. as people with 0 wins and 1 loss, anyone know how this works? I have like 110 wins and 65 losses.

Experiance (as far as I can tell) works like this:
You beat someone with higher exp, you gain a lot.
You beat someone with lower exp, you gain a little.
You get beat by someone with higher exp, you lose a little.
You get beat by someone with lower exp you lose a lot.
So if you beat someone the system feels is skilled, you will gain more exp. If you get beat by what the system considers to be a noob, you lose a bunch.
Hm ok that makes sense, but there has to be a base experience to start at..? and does time played have anything to do with rank?
And how much xp do you get for beating an ai? do you get more xp for a nightmare?
Ya, a completely new player with 0wins and 0 losses start at 1000 exp. So 1000exp is technically average I guess. If you are above 1000exp, you are "above average" if you are below 1000exp, you are "below average".
Yah im rank 9,300 with 937 xp on custom and rank 3 on the new pantheon with 1200+.. im not sure if this ranking system is any indication of how good a player is.
From what i can tell if you play a online custom gave (you vs ai) you get 0 experience, same if a human quits online and the game ends with all opposing people being ai.. they get a loss, you get a win but no experience.
I would probably put myself between above average and pro.. but my stats dont really do that justice.
You don't lose exp for dying.
Your ladder stats seem ok to me
Was talking about the custom rank, they need to reset the stats anyway, i have like 8 billion losses due to disconnects, and wins not recorded correctly.
I don't really get it myself. I mean I understand how it's supposed to work, but you see people that are pushing 4:1 win/loss ratios that are in their 900's.
Like look at this friend of mine. Last tournament he did 19 wins 6 losses, for 916 experience, down from the starting 1000. His custom game experience averages at 1029, his skirmish experience is 1145. However, on the ladder it shows he has 1542 experience. It doesn't make any sense when his highest stat for individual experience is much lower.
I think that the reason the stats dont make any sense at all is that in some ways certain types of wins (like over AIs and whatnot) are recorded and count and in others they dont.
You can see this pretty clearly when you actually look closely at records of players. Take the current #3 on the Custom rankings, razattack1337. He is 129-0 despite having a longest losing streak of 3 games.
Anyway, I think its pretty clear that records and experience are completely meaningless at this point in time. It doesnt really matter right now, but apparently they are going to start displaying experience when you connect and whatnot. This will be a disaster unless a lot of things improve. Clearly there are ways to avoid losses and boost your record (as people with a 129-0 record indicate). Heck, even if you have a system like they are proposing where you get nailed if you quit after the first 10 minutes you still have problems. You can tell in the first 5 minutes whether or not you are going to win with your team usually. If you start putting a supposed skill based ranking next to people's names its going to cause quitting of games in massive numbers.
Anyway, right now stats and experience and whatnot mean absolutely nothing. The system is completely broken. It certainly should be fixed before they decide to start displaying rankings and experience ingame.

Lawl, broken. I have not even played for weeks due to all the issues we are STILL having. Too bad I didn't see Frogboy at E3.
Some things are obviously wrong, but again, if you view the stats from a human perspective and not just accept it like an input to a machine, you can see that most of the players up there have a lot of games under their belt. The reason some of the stats are a little messed is because they have changed what gives you experiance. Now AI games do not give you experiance, but I think before it did.

it seems to work for skirmish though - but it makes no sense that you start with 1000 xp and have like 750 when you have 17-0 stats as QoT in the Queen of thorn Demigod ranking : http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/rankings/demigod/6/player/10798/
You are looking specificly at the QoT stats, the ladder stats seem right to me. I don't think custom games contribute to specific Demigod stats (I could be wrong about that).
I wrote that this is the QoT stats - those are obviously flawed, if you skim through the pages they are obviously totally wrong, like all Demigod-specific rankings. Now the thing is how can we trust any stats if there are a few clearly totally wrong. There is no reliable way to separate correct working from incorrect working ones, especially because they don't reveal the xp calculations for some silly reasons.
If you dont get experience for Ai wins on custom online games, it shouldnt count as a game played at all. Some people could be 300-0 vs ai or something. I farmed Ai games for favor.

I have 0 win / 2 loses with Oak in Pantheon, and i have :
1070 xp !!!
The experience still random ??? two days ago i've 3 win and 1 lose and have 983 Exp. I've won 2 matches yesterday in Pantheon agains 2 Human players (not AI) , so it becomes 5 wins and 1 lose , but my exp gets down to 951. How can it be ? I'm wining and the exp gets more down ... It's Paradox.
Im not exactly sure how experience works, I know i am not the 6th best eberus but it still felt pretty good getting it if only for alittle while so i like the system ![]()
17 wins, 3 losses - 1002 Experience.
