5 kill rule in 3v3, 4v4.

5 kill rule in 3v3, 4v4.

There are just too many bad pugs. I've decided that a 0-5 kill rule is autoquit.

If the combined team is 0-5 before they get a single kill, i leave 100% of games. These games are simply unwinnable.

I played a 3v3 on Crucible where one of our allies disconnected very early so it was 2Players+1AI vs 2 Players.

My remaining ally swore about how I sucked for 15 minutes even though we were winning and had them bottled up near their citadel.  They had a money advantage but we owned the map and we had a warscore advantage and they couldn't go spend any of their money on artifacts since they could not get to the flag to cap it.

When the other team made a good push to recover territory my teammate swore again about how I sucked then ragequit even though the game was far from over and we still had the advantage.  After he left I was able to push the other team back and even get a few hits on their citadel but eventually lost b/c the AI was not able to effectively help with the push and keep them bottled up and they eventually got to the artifact shop and it was all over after that.

If my ally had not abandoned ship at the first sign of difficulty we might have pushed all the way to victory.

Yeah valid point but did you get a 0-5 kill ratio? Or even a 0-10 kill ratio?

The thread creator didn't meaned that you should quit every match thats imbalanced he just told about a "rule" when its obvious that you play an heavily imbalaned game. Thats far away from ragequiting, and ragequiting is what you described.

This. I've had games where we started out with five deaths and no map control within just a few minutes of the game start. Won it, too.

No it was 0-5.  But we were on the bad side of the ratio.  Probably in the 3-5 ratio.  Of course the rage-quitter had some of those deaths himself.  He was playing QoT and I was a tower rook (admittedly not very good at it---still learning how to do it right).  Some of the QoT deaths were b/c he was in a fight across the map from me and of course when he died he blamed me for not marching....my.....slow.....rook.....across.....the.....map.....to....help.

You can turn around an 0-5, but if it gets to 10 kills before you have a third of that, you are almost certainly going to lose the match, as that means you are most likely being dominated at flag caps (thus being beat to rank 10), and your opponent will have vast sums of money and be much more prepared to throw down the massive creep reinforcement upgrades (priests to giants) in one wave and win the game.

I win a lot of games that i die more then the opposition

I just won a game when  I died while afk to open the match (tabbed while standing at flag) and my teammate died 7 times in a row in the first 10 minutes.  We came back to when it.

It was his first online game, he made some good early choices (gold upgrade) and improved as time went on.  One of the better games until the opponent said that it was unfair to have me in the game saying, "No fair have OP Demi in 2v2".  Not sure what that means but after the next kill he said "this is shit" and d/c.

Yeah this post is dumb, that's all I can say. Do what you want but now you are on my ban list. Thanks for the warning. Learn to play.

If you play against me with a premade team while hiding that, I would be happy to be on that banlist.

At least im talking about such situations in custom games.

The few times i faced something else then 2v2 in skirmish and pantheon where quite balanced.

Which wonder...no stacking

quit then. It will show up on your stats when you enter lobbies and you will find yourself getting booted.

Have fun.

The OP is a pretty shallow rule.  Something like "if the opp team gets 7/0 kills on level 5 DGs then I know we will lose" makes more sense.  You can be down 10 kills on level 1 DGs and it won't make much difference.  5 kills on level 5 DGs is a big deal though..

You really can tell if you are going to lose the game.

There are some ways you know you are still ok.. for example:

You have invested in gold upgrade (you therefore cannot afford armor for the time being) and therefore you get killed more often.  However, you keep the gold flag captured and you are now making more money than the opposing team.

You will get better armor later and might be able to come back.  Your warscore is also higher.  However, if the enemy stuns you once, then second demi stuns you as you are coming out from first stun, and you get bite, spit and bat.. and you die (without the ability to run) you know you really can't do much at that point.  Everytime you go out of your citadel, you will just die.

As a doctoral student, I should not have to waste good percentage of the few hours a week I have for leisure sitting through the latter half of a farmfest after I have determined there is no viable means to win just so people don't label me a rage quitter.
End of Sly_Squash's quote

I second that, as I am in a very similar situation.

I also do not want to waste time beating the AI into a pulp when the other team has quit.

I think he meant that you were either playing an OP spitting UB, OP biting Erebus, OP sniping Regulus, OP shielding Oak, OP tower spamming Rook or perhaps even an OP shield spamming QoT... ;)

Quoting kstampy, reply 16You know I hear that making friends does a lot of wonders, for many aspects in life.
If you want to be a smartass about it, then fine. But what is being said is that people shouldnt go and play Demigod online without having their friends with them, because they're going to get stomped by a gang of 3 buddies and that is OK.

I disagree that this is OK, I don't play alone very often but when I do it would be nice to have a decent match up once in a while rather than getting rolled over by an organised team.

You want to scrim? Go organise one. Find a team to play against or play against your friends. Otherwise stop being such poor sports and even the damn teams up.

Don't be so butt hurt. So you have a few bad games, stop being a poor sport about it (get it?). EVERY online game out there will ALWAYS have friends playing together. So I don't really know what you expect. Go find a scrim? Are you kidding me? zomg 5v5|de_demigod|west|proz onlyz, not gonna happen often if at all. This game is focused on teamwork, so uhhh either just get some friends and play with them or just deal with the fact that you are playing with randoms (which I find NO fun) and you will most likely get creamed. You also never LEARN how to play better unless you have GOOD OPPONENTS. Just suck it up big guy.

Find a scrim... lol.

Play with my friends? I do. We used to stack teams, then it got boring. Randoms also won't want to play with you if you are a known premade, so we stopped doing it. It's not much fun for our opponents, who generally ragequit, and it's not challenging for us.

If we play on opposite teams on the other hand the game is more likely to be even, and more fun for everyone playing. I am suggesting other premades do this, or advertise their being a premade if they are going to stack teams.

Personally I really don't care if you stack teams and make a lobby, I'll join, lose quickly, then make a note of your team and not play against you again. Others ragequit and are being berated for it, which I don't think is entirely fair since you're not being open about stacking the teams.

So my point is that you're probably damaging the community by doing this? If it gets to the point where people can't play PUGs because it's dominated by premades the game will be in a pretty poor state imo. That would be removing a giant chunk of the playerbase.

EDIT:

My problem isn't that premades want to play as a team, I think by all means they should, and if they advertised themselves as such I'd grab my friends and play against them. It would probably be a really fun game. The issue is that if I make a 3v3 lobby, my housemate joins the other team to keep things fair, and then 2 friends on voice comm join one of the teams and 2 randoms join the other, things are never going to be even remotely close.
