Dear John Letter
Dear Demigod,
I want to preface this by saying that I love you. But the connectivity issues just don't seem to be going away anytime soon. It seems like the more it's "fixed" the more problems we have. I'll sit here waiting for a Pantheon game and it says there's 7 or 12 players waiting to play or whatever. The numbers shift around for a minute or two, then I get my Connection info box with the players I'm being matched with.
Then about 80% of the time it sits there with 3 out of 4 players all hooked up while the fourth doesn't match to anyone. Next, one person quits. Followed by the rest because they don't want to be in a game of 2v1 with no AI assistance to at least half-assedly even it up. That's just not the kind of reliability I'm looking for at this point in my life.
Skirmish used to be a fairly solid bet, but now even these casual interactions have turned cold on us. Now that people are playing Pantheon as well, I will just sit there waiting to be matched up with a skirmish. But my waiting for you is in vain.
And I don't post much but I do read up on these boards a lot and appreciate how open Frogboy is with the community. However, with all the talk there has come very little progress, at least for me. The only improvement seems to be that Pantheon works at least some percentage of the time, rather than being completely boned.
Anyway, baby, you know I love you. No<sniff sniff>... I love the IDEA of you. You're just not the game I thought you were going to be. Maybe we'll run into each other some time down the road and things can be different for us. If it's meant to be, it's meant to be.
