EDIT: ghosted games are now gone. Removing game.prefs is necessary to log back into locked out account.

There are dozens of ghosted games up right now and anyone who crashes out of the lobby cannot log back in. This is not a one or two user anomaly.
Except for Stardock, obviously.

well, there are a record number of people and games tonight. I have never seen this many people, 5000+ people online right now.
I also can't login anymore after the crash. the number of people who can't log back in after the crash is like 50 people. So it's 1% can't play 
So is this why I can't log in?
All of a sudden its saying that my password is wrong even though i have it checked to remember it and its been like that for over a week.
Hehe, no. 116 open games, lol. Try joining most of them. The vast majority of the games in the list right now have been there for over an hour. Three of them are mine, and Demigod isn't even open, two are MABManZ', so on and so forth.
It's almost 3am on Sunday in the US. I doubt they're going to announce every little maintenence check or update. And just because they're doing something with the servers doesn't mean that everyone would suddenly crash out of their current games, altough that does seem to be what happened to people at the match loading screen at least.
As for logging in, it was fine for me. I saw those 2 games hosted by MABManZ as well on the custom games list, but I didn't try to join anything. It's weird that there are so many games this late. I'm not sure if it's a bug, if they're doing something to the servers or what, but I'll hold off on playing for now until we know what's going on.
The server list is broken at the moment - so a lot of the games that are listed are not actually there. I think Stardock need to have an admin on 24/7 call to be able to reset stuff like this when it happens. Had 5 of my friends ready to play and through issues we ended up with 2 of them

Stardock doesn't even know how their own netcode works =p haven't you noticed all the bugs? Why would they notice it bombing when they can't even tell when it's working...
