QoT Compost ability

Hi there,

I have a question about the QoT Compost ability. Does anyone got exact numbers about what this is really doing? Is there a big difference between lvl 1, 2 and 3?

More specifically, with a QoT Shamblers/minions build, is Compost more interessant than getting Morale? (I do not play Uproot)

Thanks for infos!

So, here's a chart for the bonuses.  At rank 1 Compost, after the first 3 kills you are at Level 1 of the chart.  Add your additional ranks in Compost to whatever your current temporary buff is to get your Level.  So, for example, if you have rank 2 Compost and 6 things die then you'll be at Level 3 on the chart.

Level 1 - Uproot Bonus Per Tick: 20 - Shamblers Dmg: 4 - Shamblers HP: 60
Level 2 - Uproot Bonus Per Tick: 40 - Shamblers Dmg: 6 - Shamblers HP: 120
Level 3 - Uproot Bonus Per Tick: 60 - Shamblers Dmg: 8 - Shamblers HP: 180
Level 4 - Uproot Bonus Per Tick: 80 - Shamblers Dmg: 10 - Shamblers HP: 240
Level 5 - Uproot Bonus Per Tick: 100 - Shamblers Dmg: 12 - Shamblers HP: 300

From a purely minion buffing perspective, Morale is superior to Compost.  If you are using Uproot then obviously Compost has a big impact.

And how many ticks are there per an application of Uproot? Ten?

i think so but i'll take a look in it.

edit comes later^^

edit: Yes it's 10 ticks

But it would be better to put only 1 point into Uproot if you want the bonus from Compost and the rest into Groundspikes. That's much more dmg against towers.

I got this from the ScaryLogic forums where the author had datamined most of the characters' stats in version 1.0.  After testing in game, his description of the mechanics were slightly off, but the stats held up.

Compost helps Uproot a lot in making it more efficient.  Technically, rank 1 Uproot and Rank 3 Compost is the most efficient damage per mana.  I personally prefer two ranks in Uproot to keep the damage at a moderate level.

What is the rate of decay for the bonuses?

Seven seconds per kill.  So if you max it out it takes about a minute to fully lose all the buffs.

End of TDude's quote

Compost V can make Uproot IV one shot Archer Towers, veritably the single most beneficial purpose for taking Uproot and well let's face it QoT for that matter.

Unfortunately with rank V sliding off 7 seconds after it is applied means you can only get it when farming a lane convergance(way to situational) or after Priests are out.

I am not dissing this ability at all(well not to much) just pointing out that Uproot IV is bust without Compost III which is bust without enemy Priests.

If it is going to take two Uproots to drop an Archer Tower it may as well be rank III.

I take Uproot IV though cause it is sexy.
