How do nterrupts work?

Say you are casting a spell and someone hits you with and interrupt, what actully happens? Is there a set time before you can try that spell again? Is it as if you can it and have to wait for the cooldown again? Interrupts work against scrolls as well right?

Some spells/items have instant cast.  Interrupt does nothing here.

Other spells/items (including scrolls) have a casting time usually between .3 seconds and 3 seconds.  If you interrupt while they're casting, the spell/item doesn't cast.  In addition, it goes into cooldown.

So if my teleport scroll is interrupted, I don't teleport.  I have to wait 30 seconds to try again.

Do you lose the mana that you would have used to cast a spell if you get interupted???

I tried to play with Senda yesterday and I tried to heal as I ran away. I got interupted and didn't have the mana to cast again - my ally was not happy and wanted to know why I died without healing...

pretty sure you don't lose the mana for a spell or expend a consumable if it was an item. you just have the cooldown triggered but don't get the effect of the spell/item.
