Torch Bearer - The god of .... MERCY ???

Just won a tournament with TB on hard and saw the victory animation.

Ok, I know TB's tragic lore but that ending surprised me a bit: He gets reunited with his dead beloved and sheds his anger and thirst for revenge. Thus he becomes the God of Mercy and Reconciliation.

I kinda expexted the usual cheesy "... and a reign of terror swept over the world ..." thing.

Nice.

I have to agree that the ending for the Torch Bearer was a nice twist - I was expecting a god of destruction instead. I guess that was taken up by UB :P

I do like the back-story for the DGs, and I sometimes wished that some of their voice animations could relate to their back story (beyond Senda asking her cat for protection). :)

Huh. I won a tourney with Rook and never got a speech/movie. After that I gave up on em, cause singe player is so rediculously easy, even on max difficulty.

Every single one of Torchies quotes relates to his lore, though some are admittedly cheekier than others...

All their will be is ASH ahahahahaha (He burned to death with his loved one and friends)

I will freeze them and they will shatter (vengeanance he began visiting on the retainers outside the lodge)

I love the smell of burning flesh (wry irony as he and his burned and then he burned those that burned him)

Do I smell Bacon? (Probably as their is a likelyhood of their having been pig at the lodge for the feast)

Etc...

Ah, thanks for the correction Lugh. I think I probably misinterpreted TB's quotes as relating only to his abilities (fire / ice) as opposed to his back-story. But you are probably right - they do also relate to TB's back story.

He's from the North and wreaking a firestorm on his enemies, they are used to the cold..  ..cheeky that...

He grabbed the torch from a bracket on the wall, and "kiss my sceptre" is a vieled reference to fellacio... again cheeky..

That's it, though there is supposed to be a speech.

They really aren't worth seeing.

lol, they're all pretty funny.

They're interesting lore tidbits. Regulus becomes a god of righteousness and holistic justice, lawful vengeance, etc.

And Regulus does regain his wings permanently. :)

WTF?  There are endings?  Now I will have to do single player.

That was the first thing I did!

I finished through on all but Sedna. Hippie bitch.

Finished TB's on normal.. that is a nice video.  Perhaps I could use it as my windows background?

Odd I thought I finished the tournament as someone and didn't see a video. Must try again it seems....8 times.

I finished it on Regulus and got a spinny Regulus and some speach, I just figured it would be a spinny Demigod and speach with all of them so didn't bother.

Are they on youtube?  Or is there a place I can listen to the speach files?
