So you see a general with 4 priests somepoint in the mid game.

That does not mean they are 'exploiting' the minion bug. It means they legitamitely upgraded their priests, and the old ones did not go away.

When I upgrade from monks to bishops, I'm left with 2 monks, and 2 bishops. I run around with all four untill the monks die, which is normally fairly quickly. What else am I supposed to do with them? I don't rebuy them after they die, nor do i stack 8 priests.

So please stop accusations of 'Cheater!'.

its because most people are fucking stupid and don't realize if you have clerics they just need to simply target the monks for 2 seconds so you cant ever resummon them.

Its okay... we still love you catty

Hmm but should you keep your priests if you summon clerics etc? or IS it the same exploit? ponder that. I don't have an answer. Though I will say a Sedna with 4 healers is mighty hard to fight.

Per one of froboy's posts regarding version 1.1: "When you sell a minion idol, existing units are destroyed."  That being said, it is the intention of GPG and SD to avoid more than two of any idol minon type (ie. monks and clerics) going forward.

This is from FB's "Demigod nears its second month" journal post on the 11th.

I do the same as proximity, send them to the enemy towers to die. Killing a Sedna player with monks AND high priests is difficult enough to cause people to whine, so I avoid it.

I dont understand what the problem is anyway, it's not like they're hard to kill..

Lately, and i reckon increasingly, i have been finding my own summons sticking to corners across the other side of the map, freakin nightmare - particularly when you cant desummon them to re-summon. If they cost mana you should be able to de-summon them at any time to re-summon imo.

hell, i kill them even when their owner can resummon them. only takes a couple of whacks and unless their owner is directing his attention directly at you he may not notice what you're doing and may not realize his priests are dead for a couple of minutes.

While this is a good idea it's not as easy as you make it sound. Early level DG's will have to hit them 2-3 times at least. Thats say 300-450 damage each so 600-900 (these numebrs are by no means exact but you get the point) damage and that's only if they don't heal each other and need an extra whack or two. In the mean time sedna's biting you on the ass. So you've taken maybe 600-900 damage from the sedna while she has taken none that's a 1200-1800 hp difference. I really think unless you can aoe the crap out of a minion sedna you are better off not trying to 1v1 at all. At least in the early stages of the game.

What do you guys think? I find sedna the hardest DG to deal with.

nonono, you misunderstand.

if the enemy DG is actually fighting you, forget their priests and either fight them back or GTFO.

i was referring to another fairly common situation where the two of you are more or less ignoring each other. comes up alot in lane dominance struggles in the early game where neither of you can reliably kill the other. also happens alot in multi-DG matchups, killing priests is even more important their since it will prevent them from healing BOTH opponents.

I mostly play Sedna and I don't lose many 1v1s early on in the game, except to rook if he sets up his farm before I can get to the lane. Either way I'm not actually going to die from the rook, I'll just get pushed back to friendly towers. Especially at level 2 with both pounce and heal you can chase people past the corner tower on cataract, get a kill and live if you're careful.

When I'm not playing Sed I'm mining it up as Regulus, and with both AF and Mines I don't have any problem targeting enemy monks early. The trick to killing Sedna is to run her out of mana and then call any bluffs, killing minions is a key part of this. High Priests heal 30% of Sedna's max health if they are buffed, which is in the order of 500 - 1000 HP, no DG can afford NOT to target the priests if tackling Sedna solo. In 2v2 you can gank without it, but that's another case.

Past killing the priests, slow stacking and stuns are the way to victory against Sedna.

Well if you want to be sportsmanlike, you can either suicide your monks by sending them against a tower, or wait till they die before summoning the bishops.

Bending over backwards and letting your opponent waltz right into your base is also real sportsman like.

Play fair and all, but don't hand your opponent free treats. It's not just bad for you, but insulting to your opponent.

Well, aside from the ethics debate...I hope gpg makes it to where higher level summon kill off lower level ones soon -_-

What's the treat?  They get nothing for killing your priest minions.  No exp, no gold.

I just hurl the old minions at towers.

Doesn't really matter after 1.1 this will be fixed. People just need to deal with the fact that this is "how it is" right now.
