No Tutorial is a pretty big problem?

I'm sure I just missed something..

I start the game, go into skirmish mode, expecting to learn a few things before I start the single player campaign.. but there's too much going on to really figure anything out.

So I go to campaign mode and start the game.. same thing, but now there's 4 heroes instead of just one.

At what point do you get some pointers on how to PLAY?  Even crap games like shadowrun that were multiplayer only had a decent tutorial.  Does this one really not have one?  If not, you REALLY need to consider moving past the 90's.  Every game I've played since 2000 has had a tutorial of some form or another.

ANd please let me know if that's the case, I'll take this game right back to the store.

Thanks.

no need to double post

if u phrase some particular questions the people here might be able to help you

this game is not very beginner friendly, that said it is not difficult to learn but it is hard to master

a game like this tends to attract the more serious gamer who likes to invest some effort,if u think that doesnt describe you  you are free to return the game

if u think u are up for it there are some guides u can have a look at

The game is not difficult to understand in concept. You fight creeps and demigods to gain expirience and gold. You use that to level up and learn new skills and buy items and/or upgrade the citadel. A good trick to get a basic grip on where things are and what things do is to slow the game way down (click the '-' key a bunch of times with adjustable game speed on) and explore the menus. This is what a tutorial would psuedo-teach you.

Personally, I've never used a tutorial which wasn't a campaign(didnt use many of those either). However, if hot having a tutorial is really that game breaking then you should be happy you purchased a game published by Stardock. They're one of the few gaming comapanies that will even accept returns. And unless stores where you live are vastly different then the ones around here, they'll just tell you to have a nice day, if that.

They didn't create a tutorial because it's intuitively obvious to anyone who has played a Real Time Strategy game before, which constitutes the vast majority of customers.

It's really very simple...left click on your character to select him, right click to move, right click on the shop to buy items, right click to attack things.

You have abilities and items that can be activated with the numbers and the function keys, and to add a new skill when you go up a level, press the "+" down the bottom.
