micro patches are good when you have to fix big bugs that are discovered at the release and you do not want your community to think that you will do nothing about them. But it is not really effective, when you release a new version, intensive testing is needed, and you can't do that if you patch the game every day.
Now most of the bugs are gone and the devs are concentrating on the addition of new features, so the most effective way to go is to release big patches instead of micro patches.
They were doing frequent updates due to the major issues with multiplayer connections. Now that things are more stable, they will go for slightly larger and more content based patches. Also daily/incremental patches have less time in QA (quality assurance) and thus have a higher likelyhood of releasing a major game breaking bug.

compared to the release, yes. There are still a lot of bugs that have to be fixed ASAP, but at least the connectivity is ok and many other bugs are fixed.
As others have said, it's one thing when there are major connectivity issues that need fixed ASAP, and any small improvement needs to be pushed out right away. Now that connectivity is reasonable for most players though, we'll be going at a steadier pace.
i'm still bitter about the fact commands still don't work all the time, and they should, its a game. when i tell demigod to move, occasionally they just don't. when i say attack, they do usually, but still get stuck at times and ignore target. it works most of the time, but when i say run and my guy won't, and then i die, it ruins the game.
that to me is the biggest bug and until it's fixed this game will never be worth investing lots of time in
