Demigod: One Hundred Paper Cuts

In the spirit of ubuntu's one hundred paper cuts project; an attempt to solve simple problems that users experience over the years that go unnoticed and unfixed which can really be fixed in a few minutes of a bit more, I am going to post some demigod papercuts that I really hope will get fixed.

Please post your own paper cuts here and hopefully the devs will look at it.

  • The help tooltips dont match up. The ability tree has one set of tips, the ability itself has another. Often the ability ommits important information that is available on the tooltips. (like unclean beast's damage, damage taken, and % attack speed decrease on ooze.) Just make both tooltips identical.
  • Some tooltips don't show important information. Erebus' vampiric aura does not show the health drain %. Rook's arrow/tower/catapult damage and damage increase to tower from getting catapults. And more.
  • Melee attackers don't deal damage the first swing when attacking grunts after a user-issued command to manually target a grunt.
  • When abilities are dissabled, the user can't queue up commands. As in once they become enabled they will be cast. This is important in cases where the ability is disabled because the character is casting another one. Don't treat it as a stun. (like the erebus' teleport disabling bite until after it completes) -- This might be a bit more involved than a paper cut, but I am putting it in anyways as it seems like a rather simple bug.
  • When a flag changes ownership (enemy, neutral, allied) the mouse-over for that flag is disabled. If the mouse is over the flag it must be moved in order to get the mouse over again.
  • When a flag changes ownership the top right display of that flag's capture status dissapears until the capture rate changes instead of just staying visible.
  • If two people capture lock a flag at the same time, both their locks are wasted instead of the first-to-cast's only.
  • Idol summons show damage dealt as floating text. However ability summons (spirits, yettis, etc.) don't.
Thats it for now, this is all I can think of.

The friends button on the ingame impulse bar is the only one that isn't in all-caps.

Several UI panels default to positions that cover up one another.  Default size/position should be adjusted so that by default you don't hide one panel behind the other.

The panel sizes and positions should be saved across sessions so that when/if yo do resize or move a given panel to a preferred location, you don't have to do it each gaming session.

Anchor the panels so they cannot be partly dragged out of the viewport and make them dockable, such that they can be anchored to other UI elements or the viewport edge.

You don't see your own nickname in the in-game IRC chat client.  In my case, after entering /nick Aesir, and receiving a generic confirmation that my nick was 'changed' to Aesir, the next line of chat I'd entered indicated it was from Aesir_1.  Weird.

End of quote

you see floating text only if

1) you attack a enemy Demigod

2) Damage dealt is higher than a certain threshold

Chat text should be a darker color in-game. Also should stay around longer. Usually it is very hard to see when someone types and it dissappears too quickly to read.
