Wand of Speed cancels move order when used

Perhaps not not a bug, but definitely an undesirable behavior for me.

When I use the wand of speed after telling my  demigod to run away, he will turn around and fight as soon as I use the wand. I assume it's canceling the move order.

Is this by design? I'd think instant cast items wouldn't affect orders. It makes sense with channeled items, since you have to stop for a while to use them. Thanks!

it doesn't really cancel move order, it converts your move order into an attack order. But yah it definitely should not mess with your last order at all if it an instant cast item.

I'll sign this one.

Using wand of speed basicly stops you in your tracks, if there are enemies in range.

Died a few times, when I pressed the hotkey for wand, and immediatelly started clicking the ground (to prevent my demigod from turning back and facing certain death). With ~150ms ping, the game did not register the use of wand, or registered the move order given after the use of wand, and thus my demigod failed to use the wand and got caught.

Fix the wand of speed, so that using it does not chance your orders.

Same with Heart of Life, it also seems to mess with your orders.

It would seem ironic that the item where it's specific purpose is to make you run away interrupts your move order.

I agree, I have both died a couple of times because of this bug with the Wand of Speed and failed to catch some fleeing Demigods. Even if I click the ground multiple times to keep moving, my Demigod stops a short time, which often makes a big difference.

Fix this for Wand of Speed to make it work the way I hope it is supposed to work!

Btw, this bug exists with all dg's or item's abilities that have 0 casting time.

i think it's all abilities as the default behavious is to attack if there's an enemy in range and using an ability cancel you any previous order.

relatedly i'd like to see DG's stop chasing angles all over the place.

either way, this is an old bug.

Yup. Very old, and very annoying bug. FIX PLEASE!

Any instant skill/item resets your orders, if there are enemies in attack range. I usually use my favour item as a handy stop button, when demigod is in moving through creep waves. When my demigod has moved to a perfect spot, where it can reach every creep, I'll activate my Blade of the serpet, and my demigod stops on it's tracks to attack creeps..

I agree as well. The one that drives me nuts is turning off UB's ooze in a retreat to save more health and you stop. In fact any time you turn ooze on or off you just stop. Other thing that drives me nuts is if you click on an enemy creep, as soon as it dies you stop moving. Very annoying.

Signed.  Very annoying.  You are running back to your base with an enemy army behind you.  Speed boost.  Doh! You stop in your tracks and get mauled.

Do you mean you turned to attack because of the snipe???

Never seen that.

YES, this needs a fix ASP.

Yes please. Definite issue. Couple this with buggy corner pathing and your out of luck if you want to use wand. Makes it useless unless you're going straight shot. I sign this. =)
