Another polarizing moment of humor.
@TheMystic - I was going for the similar feel of a Craigslist posting. I think I nailed it.
@Aviyur - I have not ever played, nor even seen, dota. I apologize if my post offends in any way. It is merely a humorous outlet to a frustrating situation. While I can see where it looks like bragging the truth is that people sometimes quit when their own actions don't end up as planned. Our game was close AND fun until this moment. Nobody, myself included, was dominating more than anybody else. Suddenly we went from "tense and fun" to "hm".
@pseudomelon - I somewhat agree. I do not think that it is necessary to call individuals out on the forums, yet I also don't believe that it is wrong to do so. A recent Journal entry tells us that an update to the game will include a displayed disconnect percentage. That same entry specifically states the obvious truth that people with high percentages will be dropped from games (by other players) as well as to be given a lower priority (by the game) for Skirmish and Pantheon games. This is a call out.
Also I would like to point out that the forums actually are a place to post anything from observations to strategies to personal experiences to technical issues. Posting something like this in the Craigslist Missed Connections would be pointless. (almost)Nobody there would appreciate the humor or be able to provide their own spin - positive or negative. That's the beauty of having a specific community.
Finally: to mrjohnynoir - I WILL play with or against you again should the situation arise. However, if your d/c percentage gets too high...
