Has a newbie Im curious what different opening strategies there are.......
Do you mean initial item purchases, level 1-5 skill builds and early gameplay or do you mean beginner basic strategies?
more like earliy items and builds and even some basic strategies.....
Get Banded Mail or Charm of Life or Blood of the Fallen to boost hp and hp regen
Get Scaled Helm or Mana regen favor item unless the map you are on has a +mana per second flag inside your territory.
Don't go in range of enemy towers unless your are level 5+, you are destroying them or it is a guaranteed enemy DG kill.
Keep an eye on the opponents HP, not just their health bar. health bar shows a percent, and can often decieve you. Some players buy a lot of HP items early on, so you may be up against a rook with 3k hit points out of the gate. Even half dead, he'll have more than your 1500 no hp regulus.
If you are going against 1 Ridiculous I mean Regulus, make sure you have atleast 500 hp at all times. Against 2 you need 1k hp and against 3 you need 1.5k hp.
Similar rules apply vs multiple Torch Bearers or combinations of the two.
You'll need more hp as they increase their snipe/fireball skill.
A spitting UB will probably kill you if you have under 1k hp and you are still in melee range. UBs have been known to burn people down to a magic number then spit on them and ignore them while they find a nice corner to die.
If you are playing Rook you should probably play like a Spartan. Retreat is normally not an option.
And hey, if Rook's archers fire high enough, he can fight in the shade...
what a fucking lame troll, "teehee I made a funny"
go crawl back to the christfag forums that spawned you.
for the OP,
for starter items you can't go wrong with a hp pot and mana pot, whether you go for a helm or armor is up to you, if youre a general id suggest priests and totem of revel
right out the gate you want to get flag control and pick a lane:)
thats about all
Foreshadowed, ease up man - he was making a joke. If you didn't find it funny, thats fine, however there is no need to attack him like that.
THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!!! forum troll
I lol'd
the sticky at the top of the page for demigod strategies has some pretty nice stuff in it as far as builds and just general basic strats and gameplay definately a good place to poke around in if your bored.
the only strat that i try and use as much as possible is to not die. dieing really is the single greatest sin that can be made. its going to happen usually, alot as u get used to certain demigods and figure out when to retreat. (i died alot as rook then finally bought teliports)
basically i try to go by the 20-50 rule and if i drop below 20% of the hitpoints of the person im fighting or i find myself below 50% health and not sure if i can survive then i hit the road.
Good luck to you mate games a bunch of fun
hahaha, i must admit your jokes have originality and innovativity ![]()
i liek ur spelling, wanna make out?
My opening strat (erebus) is easy:
Priests... spawn them, attach one to my partner
Mana potion (it's pretty much all I can afford now that 900 gold is gone... but the priests and bite will keep the HP up, and the mana potion will keep the mana up, so I'm good for a while)
I use cloak of the night for mana, mana capacity, and for early and unexpected TP+bite attacks (and escapes).
I usually get my first kill at lvl 4 from a squishy ranged unit. People don't expect me to have TP yet and the bite at lvl 2 is considerably more powerful. Even when you hit lvl 5 bat swarm isn't a very good teleport since it uses most of your mana, often leaving you without the bite...

Heh, I had no idea I was going to get such an awesome response. It would appear Foreshadowed got trolled. Oh Snap!
FYI: A name with "troll" in it does not a true troll make.
@ sacul: Sorry to be such poor hosts around here. Really, try what everyone else here has said, and read an updated guide or two on the Demigod that you most enjoy playing to see if you can get any ideas. Oh, and note that currently stacking Health and Armour beats DPS, so, think twice before buying +damage gear.
What character do you play?
Blood of the Fallen, Banded Armor, and a couple potions: They work with any assassin ![]()
For generals, definitely priests most games, especially for new players. Depends on opposistion though.
