We got swarmed around level 6 in Leviathan with a ton of minions (Sedna, Erebus, Oak attacking), They just sent in wave after wave of yeti's and minions that ran past all the towers and destroyed our citadel.  Even when we had our entire team defending the citadel.  We had level 2 towers and level 1 healing tower.  Nobody had the 1800 for the 2nd level healing tower which someone claimed would solve the problem.  We were really paralyzed as we got no exp/gold for killing the minions yet if we left them alone to counterattack they were savaging our citadel. 

Any thoughts on how to handle this?  Would level 2 repair really solve the problem?

In prison a minion build that know what to do, is uncounterable. I wont post details because, well, some ppl played against it (myself), and its frustrating to no point, and that strategy alone could make players quit the game, being honest and all. My citadel was down and I was freaking lvl.4. (UB as well).

This strat has to be nerfed, horn has to be nerfed, and I belive the first lvl. of batswarm range would be the right measure.

Ps. I have tryed to play against that strat 3 times, I really do belive its uncounterable.

We r talking about games ending by lvl.4-10. I havent seen shadow premade at levi, but I do belive game is over by lvl.8.

We r not talking about 1 minion build to support ur team, we r talking about minion ownage.

I don't care about lame or fun, and I don't care that I lost that game, but I do care that something be counterable, and right now it isn't. WTB Horn nerf.

idk I wouldn't mind bat swarm lvl 2 to be the range. 30-40 yards isn't so bad of a range. It lets you take down the front towers in relative safety, but it doesn't let you go too deep in so long as towers still stand.

It's actualy pretty stupid that Erebus can just hide the whole game while still gaining levels until he has an unstoppable army of minions which completely equal or outclass him in every way.   It's like facing two demigods.

Erebus can just hide safely behind his mininons to level up.  Assertion stands.

To an extent, the same applies to tower rooks, I suppose, they can hide behind a tower farm and just idle while their tower farm farms creeps.

Nothing you can do against good players using pure minion builds and tower pushing all the way to the citadel and some maps you just need to take out the archer towers in the back only. Favor on or off dosen't matter the strat is game breaking.

It is the idea of course to take out the enemy citadel and the faster the better. Just not many tried it cause everyone wants to "gank gank gank" instead of focusing on the real goal in conquest which is destory the enemy citadel not "how many DG kills you can get".

Now that more people are catching on soon enough people will realize it's game breaking making DG a broken game with pure minion builds. No counter to it except for doing the samething right back, but doing it better.

The best of course are Lord Erebus and Oak for pure minion builds and both do an equal job at it, so i don't know why in some posts people only talk of Lord Erebus nerfing his minions. I only play mostly with Lord Erebus cause his minions pick up abit faster at the very start which i can use asap to help with tower pushing/citadel attacking. The Oak is just as good once he gets a couple raise dead flags down at two lanes and also you can fly his spirits around to the back easier avioding towers if you want. Oak also can beat Lord Erebus in the long run in a 1v1 when both are doing the same strat against each other cause the Oak can get SoF AoE and collect minions from raise dead flags if you put them down before going back to AoE Lord Erebus minions attacking your citadel while Lord Erebus can't do either.

The games broken when you play this way and why play any other way when the goal is to destroy the enemy citadel? 1v1 it's either Oak or LE, 2v2 i'ts ofc both of them and for 3v3s it's Oak, LE with the 3rd being QoT.

A good example for a build order and items just check Shadow's link and that's 90% exactly what i do with my pure minion build for Lord Erebus.

This game is great just broken right now :p

Actually, Erebus can win against the Oak if you're vigilant: attack his spirit wards with your minions :)

Ah cool and only minions can attack them or DGs as well? Yeah that'll end an Oaks day... and idols? I don't have a mate to test this stuff right now :)

I never knew cause my minions and DG would never auto attack it, so i didn't think you could.

 

It's a good thing two of those top players i played against when they were LE and i was Oak never attacked them or i'd been screwed. Maybe anyway if you can get a few wards up, but yeah if LE knocks them out left and right Oak loses.

Thanks for that I've never seen someone do it :D

That includes idols correct? If that's true other generals can give an Oak a run for his money in that strat not just LE.

Minoins and towers have very little in common, I don't think towers should give exp or gold. You can't make a tower run away when it's low on health, you can't heal it, you can't improve its armor or total health, etc.
