game crashes 80% of the time

this sucks.  My drivers are updated, I'm running a 4850, 4g RAM and a quadcore at 2.55 Ghz.  This has never happened in previous builds

Did it create a .dmp file in My Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Demigod? If so, please send that file and this log to [email protected] so they can pass it to the devs.

Same here. Crashed yesterday, i've sent the dmp file. Today, again. Never had this problem before. It's only since the 1.1 patch.

Please see below and start doing so if you have not already.  The more info they have, the better our chances of seeing this fixed.  The logs go a long way in identifying the reasons for crashes.

I'm going to start creating posts for my crashes.  Someone posted this list before, but please do the same if you are having crash issues.

1.     Identify whether any problem you are having is considered a connectivity problem or "other"

2.     If it is a connectivity problem: create a thread in the "Demigod Connectivity Help" forum: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/forum/559

3.     If it is something else, create a thread in the "Demigod Problem Reports" forum: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/forum/549

4.     If you really want to help: go to your My Documents->My Games->Gas Powered Games->Demigod folder, zip your ImpulseReactor.log, DemigodLog.txt, CVPMultiplayerEngine_XXX.csv and MiniDump.dmp files, and email them to [email protected]. Make sure you mention the thread title in your email. Even more helpful would be to provide a link back to your thread in the email.

so I can confirm that this is not a result of too many APM, as claimed in another crash post.  I know this because I just abort crashed in the start game lobby oO

The host had opened the all slots and people were joining and leaving very very quickly

well whatever you guys did to the servers really solves some issues on my side - namely, it keeps me from attempting to play at all  :thumbsup:

 

This is because I know the result will be (in order of appearance)

1.  a crash on Demigod client initiation

2.  a crash of Impulse *and* Demigod

3.  a crash in game selection lobby

4.  a crash in game lobby after joining

5.  a crash while playing

6.  a crash immediately upon finishing the game

7.  complete and persistent inability to re-login after crash, as apparently my password and/or login are incorrect.  This has always indicated server lag in the past, but today I had the privilege of attempting this over the space of an hour twice, and the attempts were seperated by 10 hours - now that's some hefty lag :D 

So I'm gonna take the 4th of July weekend and drive around the state, maybe when I come back all of this will be resolved.  Good luck with that, and have a great weekend

Ke5trl -  if you haven't already tried a reinstall, please do so.  My crashes were on and off... I've been playing for a few days now without issue.  If you are annoyed and want to go to the extreme, uninstall, delete any remaining directories from the game, and then reinstall. 

I have been sending my crash logs, etc, anytime I have an issue now.
