best way to build favor points?

Build points without winning?

I guess teaming up with the opposing side in Custom and "trade" concedes would work. Farming AI's, however, does not. The game needs a human opponent at some point of the match.

Host a noob game if you are getting destroyed. Then build up points off of that.

The easiest way by far to gain favor is by getting the simple achievements.  It's true you get no regular favor (Most Kills, Most Upgrades etc) from games against only the AI, but you DO get favor for any achievements you earn.

Example: Make a custom game on Prison against one Easy AI, say Queen of Thorns.  Adjust the death penalty to light (so the AI spends less time dead) the xp gain rate to high and the respawn rate to high (more xp, more creeps) and I use conquest with the war rank starting at 10, so you can quickly end the game once you have your achievements.

Say you pick Beast, you get 50 favor for winning if you haven't won as him yet.  200 favor for Corpus Explodicus, which you'll get extremely easily after taking Post Mortem at level 5.  Slimer is 100, I think, for doing 20k in damage in a single game with Ooze.  Take ooze from the start and with the fast respawn throwing creeps at you should be no problem.  Beast Almighty is another 100 for getting to level 20, high xp, lots of creeps, Easy fast respawning AI, won't take long.  As soon as you hit 20 and have Slimer done, buy giants and finish it quick.  That's 450 favor in a game that took me 15 minutes to complete.

Most of the Demigods have a handful of easy achievements you can get in a single game, and if not you can always jsut start a custom game at level 20 for an instant 100 favor.  Do that for each of the Other demigods after playing my example beast game and you're at 1150, halfway to the 2k you need.

 I think to best way is to play the game 

My favor points got messed up with the last update.  In single player, if I purchase a favor item, it's not there the next time I play.

Oh, and the update wiped out all my previous items and favor points. I'm NOT happy.

How to build up favor points?  I might have had some advice on that a week ago. Now, I can't even KEEP favor items.

A) stop yelling

stardock has already explained the reason they did this. It was because with the ladder fixes they thought everyone should start clean again.

C) And you can't keep favor items because stardock is making it do that. With no favor they thought you might was well be able to buy anything if you have 2k every game. Because multiple items may add up to 8k and if you use a differant item each game and everything it would take you forever to get back to your regular items. Now all you need is maybe 1.5k favor. I think they are going to switch this off sooner or later.

A) Not yelling... just increased my font size for easier reading. Guess that constitute's "yelling"

B & C) If Stardock intended the reset (and whatever you call the current state of favor points) I think that should have been in the release notes.  This may be a matter of some debate, but in my mind, if it's in the release notes, Stardock had "told me." If it's just in the forums, Stardock hasn't told me anything.  While I do not expect Stardock to put every progress detail in the release notes, this one should have been included.

And unless I'm blind (and I could be, since I like larger fonts), I didn't see anything in the notes about what they are doing with favor.
