UB - What now w/ no HoL?

Hey UBs out there.  I got pretty accustomed to grabing some HP items, mana steal favor item, and then getting the HoL around level 10.  Having this item basically secured an easy strategy for the rest of the game (whether or not I did it well).  I'm hoping I can get some advise as to what I should do at this point instead?  I find myself wondering around buying capture locks... or potions... I don't know what to do.  I upgraded the CIT last time as I decided that might be a little better than misc. items.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated. ^_^

 With a Ooze UB you don't need HoL. Max your regen and you wont need it. Remember your Oponents can't have it either now. Truly Your beter off now than before.

From what I've come to find, you have two options:

1. Narmoth's Ring + tele/lock/potions can replace your HoL spot

2. Nimoth Chest Armor + Warlord's Punisher

 

Now of course this is all vague without the details of the rest of the gear, but you can buy either of those for less than you'd spend on the old HoL and come out ahead stats-wise than you were with the old HoL.  It still doesn't solve the fact you'll be visiting the crystal more than you did before and that's just a pain in the ass.  Especially on the bigger maps.

If you are spitting or hybrid ooze/spit definitely use Blade of Serpent favor. Mana issues solved completely, spit pays for itself even at lvl 1 I think.

 

Narmoth's Ring will easily keep your HP up. Of course you could always grab Wings of Seraphim if you were more worried about the health than mana.

Thanks for the ideas.  Yeah I play a spit build, but I don't use ooze.  Those all sound like good ideas, so thanks.  I'll try them out today.

I play Spit/Ooze and I usually get Plenor Crown + Unbreakable. I get around 4.5k of mana at lvl 7 or 8 and I do carry teleport scroll to refill my mana pool. But having 4.5k mana is more than enough to kill anyone with Spit/Ooze build.

It's called a Magnus Rod, and it is as badass as the HoL used to be (almost).
