Magic Resistant Idols
There is a lot of talk about how to make minion builds more effective in demigod. Some demigods *cough oak cough* can have a fairly useful build, but most true blue general builds fail flat against aoe attacks OR have crappy mnion items which make that hero weak mid/late game. When a bunch of demigods are fighting it out, one reg mine of 2 torch spells kill the summons. This means many generals is forced to play as an assasin to even be useful. Should this be the case sometimes? Yes, some strats should force generals to play as assasins...but it seems most if not all strats seems to force this.
I have always found the idols to be more useful than many of the general summons (mostly to take tower damage as i seige). But, these idols become absolutley useless mid/late game. Magic damage destroys them instantly. Generals are meant to stand back and let their army fight. A magic resistant army would do this. So what if it was possible to give the idols magic resistance/immunity. This could be done 3 ways
1. Favor/regular item which grants magic resistance/immunity
2. Citidel upgrade
3. Seperate idols which grant magic immunity in exchange for less health/damage
Some people will say "just buy health items for your summons nooblet" but that seriously takes away from the power of your demigod. Generals are not built tough, they tend to need alot of investment to stay alive. This is one of the many reasons general builds are not common. If idol sumons were given magic resistance then maybe it would be more common to see good generals.
Also, maybe the crappy ability at the bottom of the skill tree could give 5% magic immunity to general summons...just to make it slightly appealing. the 5% wouldn't make summons too powerful though.
