Wishlist for patch 1.2

Hey guys,

Since the thread in the journals section got locked, i decided that people should post their idea's for patch 1.2. Try not to repost what others have posted.

- Crashing because of alt+tab or any other reason

- Connectivity still needs a bit of work

- Pathing issues

- VOIP is a MUST. This way people will stop complaining about premades

- Replays

Thats all i can think of for now, im sure the rest of you will fill in the gaps.

I agree with above.  Some new Demigod's/Maps would be nice also.

I think that another good 3v3 map is way up there on my lists of wishes.  I'm a bit sick of Cataract and Prison is just not a good map (IMO, but I think a lot of people agree with me there).

I dont think that people will stop complaining about premades just because of VoIP, but I suppose it will help.  I have it far down on my list  though- Clan functionality and Replays are higher up on my wishlist

Fix the game first, those come after. Theres no point in having new maps/demigods if the game is still buggy like it is now.

Fixing all the autoattack bugs would be tops for me:

* Tweak pathing, especially on Crucible and Cataract (corners being the biggest problem).

* The minion and hero hotkeys do not work properly all the time. Selecting using a hotkey then issuing an order does not always register the selection, so the wrong unit(s) respond. I can't emphasize enough how critical this actually is.

* Leviathan needs more towers around the Citadel.

* Explicitly given orders should never be overridden by automatic behaviors. If I tell a unit to move somewhere, it should not turn around and attack at any time until it reaches the specified destination.

* Some type of indication that a rook tower cannot be placed in a certain location without having to give the order first.

Balancing should be fixed, especially HP Items should be nerfed and Acclimation skill of UB!!

Make more items useful. 90% of builds use the exact same items (Nimoth, Vlemish, Unbreakable Boots) simply because nothing else is valuable enough.

I'm going to request that the minimap become active.  In other words, I'd like to be able to use it to set my view (click on the minimap and the camera moves there) and use it to set orders.  Currently it seems to only be there to give you informaiton, which is nice, but it seems a little bit like an oversight.

And I second the networking/connection issues; nothing specific, it is just a little sluggish and confusing.

Thanks, so far really good game!

I would like to see:

Crashing because of alt+tab or any other reason
Connectivity still needs a bit of work
Pathing issues
VOIP is a MUST. This way people will stop complaining about premades
Replays
New Demigods/Maps
Clan functionality
Autoattack bugs
Pathing, especially on Cataract and Crucible
Minion and hero hotkeys working appropriately
More towers around the Citadel on Leviathin
Better Rook tower placement indicators
Balancing
HP items nerfed
Make more items useful
Minimap clickable

That's just what I came up with off the top of my head. Hope they can get my ideas into the game.

*AI upgrades (real ones this time, not the downgrades that happened the last two patches)

*New maps/Demigods

*Better Pantheon connectivity and matchmaking

*All maps be enabled for Pantheon, not just 5 of them

*Minion targetting fixes (example; Priests should not charge head first into towers when I told them to get their asses BEHIND me)

*Masking of player names when starting Pantheon/Skirmish matches to prevent pre-made teams and reduce droppers

*Skills damage bug fixed. Since 1.1, Demigod skills (like bite, fireball, hammer slam, pounce, etc) don't always do 100% damage. I was told armor mitigation has no effect on the skills, yet for some reason they often do less than the advertised damage without an explanation.

*Minion icons showing the number AND type of minions you have alive for generals. Currently; you have to guess or manually count your minions to see if any have died. I have gotten into the habit of just randomly pressing all the summon buttons during and after a match.

*Game crash fixes

*Lag fixes (game has gotten much laggier since the patch, don't know why)

*Reduce mana cost of Senda's yetis to make them a viable build. They are too expensive to use as is.

*Replay function

*Being able to use instant-use items on the move. Currently you must stop to use an instant-use item or using one makes you stop, this can be fatal.

maxxy, we are seriously trying to be helpful here, and that isn't.

I've got a whole list of little map changes I'd like considered, but that will be in a seperate post.  In general my goal is to:

  • Make more maps viable for 'average' play (No crazy twists in the game play).
  • Make them balanced more equally to the two sides (some are a little off).
  • Make some a bit more surviveable. Some maps are very hard to play with newer players because they do not have safe places to run to (leviathen and zikurat for the most part).

I'll probably make my list, and arguments for why these are important in a day or so.

More demigods!

  • Fire TB to auto-attack on the move
  • Demigods are unresponsive at times, buggy auto-attacks and movement
  • Items need balancing, some are useless
  • Better, more different colors to help colorblind players, especially to differentiate friend vs foe
  • Easier to see and select Demigods, especially during times with many units on the screen. A glow would be good.

Make it easier to make friends

Sorry Jager, I don't think SD or GPG are powerful enough to help us with this.  It is part and parcel of being a gaming Nerd I'm afraid.  We can hope though right?

:'( ... right?

One more i though of, if you select priests and tell them to move somewhere, they will never follow your demigod again unless you order them to. This is a problem because sometimes my priests get ahead of my demigod and the only way to bring them back is by manually selecting them and moving them, then i have to deal with micro managing them instead of them following me. One person suggested different "modes" for the creeps, such as Agressive where they attack everything without needing to be ordered to, defensive, where they will just heal you and keep away from other creeps and neutral where they just follow you and dont do anything.

Zechno, I have posted tons of suggestions over the forum on gameplay, easy content making, UI necessary tweaks and other issues

None of which received some kind of response or whatever. I have nothing more to add. I don't want demigod to have any new content/whatever until the game can be played without crashing to desktop. I have a friend who I just can't play with coz he crashes all the time. Game freezes, hard resets and so forth - all of which started from v1.1

So I guess "my help" isn't up with your priorities coz I guess your game doesn't crash? Well atm, I can't play with my friend and that seems screwed up.

Carry on.

If you have nothing to add, don't. I'm not trolling here, I mean it.  Dev's have to read these threads to get a good sense of player desires.  Spiking the punch with random negativity doesn' t help anything. So I'll just thank you for whatever good reports you've done, and ask you to refrain from making unnecessary posts.

i actually like crucible as is. but the rest i agree with aswell as everyone elses suggestions.

- fix up qots minions/skill tree (she is the least used character)
- fix instant items so that they dont stop ur movement when near an enemy
- Emphasising a fix on autoattacking

My wishlist:

  1. Premade Pantheon games.
  2. Fix the character lock up after using certain abilities (your char just stands there for a full sec).
  3. Add UI elements in lobby that launch to each players Pantheon stats.

Make them balanced more equally to the two sides (some are a little off).

Do you mean sides as in light/dark or sides as in sides of the map? If it's the latter, then that makes no sense, because all the maps are mirrored.

I'm pretty sure if you press O or something (check the buttons at the left side) you can tell your minions to regroup. This will set them to follow + AI again.
