Application Error -- Game will not launch --*no webcam*

I have installed the game 3 time now, only to get the same resault every time.  I Installed Demigod, and have got all the updates for the game. I have disabled all firewalls, and just about every program except Impulse.  I have the new video card driver -- 9600 GT and my computer fits all the recommended requirments, except the processor, but the processor is at the minimum requirments so it should still work. No matter what I do it get this error message.

 

Demigod.exe - Application Error

The exception unknow sofware exception (0xc0000409) occurred in the application at location 0x00d3cd49.

 

I have spent over 4 hours trying to get this game to work, and I am getting very irritable.  XD  

If anybody can help me, please do.

We'll need to gather some information on this issue.  There are log files that refresh every time the game is closed.  Immediately after a crash, disconnect, or lack of connection can you please close Demigod and follow this link in Internet Explorer to gather those log files:

Save the file, run it, and attach the .zip file (located under YOUR USERNAME\My Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Demigod\report) it generates to an e-mail to [email protected]?

It does not even start, so it can't crash.... will this still work?

 

And today the errors not even showing up. Should I click run, and still got to that site even though its not running?

Some mail services don't like zip files.  Try changing the file extension to .zzz and please try to send it again.

Hey thanks for teh help. I got the game to work though. The normal Icon Button to start the game did not work, but the Demigod Launch Compatibility Stub launched the game.  It was on accedent I hit this buttong, but hey, at least it works now.  =D But when I was installing the game, it said I only have to use this button if I have Vista or later.  Does later mean, before or after vista, bescause I have XP, and I took "later" to mean after Vista, like windows 7.

The games working... But its extremely laggy... Not online its laggy...  Graphicks card is a 9600GT and it should work FINE with min graphic settings, but it's not working fine.  I have the latest driver too, so thats not the problem.

A 9600GT shouldn't have consistent framerate problems unless you've cranked it up. You could have the audio issue. But as Dash said, without more information, we can do nothing. Or, in terms he probably can't, jack shit.

Can you please follow this link in Internet Explorer:

save the file, run it, and attach the log file (named startup.log) it generates on the desktop to an e-mail?  Can you also please go to Start->Run(or Start Search in Vista) and type 'dxdiag' and hit enter. Once everything loads, please click the "Save all information" button and attach the output file (called DxDiag.txt) to the same email to [email protected].

Alright well I got the game to work ok.  I found a new update for my sound driver, not found on their website. And I put the sound quality down to low.  B)

 

Why is this game so sound intensive?  I need to go buy a Creative Fatality sound card just to play this game above min settings...
