Your best matches

Last night, I had my best DG match ever. Myself as a TB, a half decent EB player and a newbie Reg player. At the loading screen for Prison, the UB on the other side dropped and we were left facing an Oak and Sedna player. I thought, okay, they resign and I get a quick win to pad the statistics.

Not so. Well over an hour later, although the in game clock said 1:05, I swear it was longer, we lost the match. The Synergy between the Oak and Sedna was awesome, capping flags like crazy, staying together, really playing out of their skins. While the EB farmed their AI, they farmed our newbie (around 2000 health at level 7-8ish). What ensued was one of the most awesome back and forths ever, we had their portals capped, they had our portals capped, we controlled the map, they controlled the map. We wiped out their team, they took out ours.

What in the end contributed to our demise was sadly the half decent EB player, wasting his 22 kills worth of money on useless Cit upgrades. I even had a Mage Slayer and an Ashkonda with top tier regular gear and couldn't tip the balance. We got outplayed and in the dying minutes, out manoeuvred. Superb interplay on their part and a well deserved win. Somehow, I ended up with the second best favour of 100, which was also a nice bonus.

So, what about your best matches? Ever had a match you were proud to lose? Any quality stories you haven’t yet shared?

Best amtch was when i palyed with 2 ais vs 3 pros and lost after 80 minutes. But for me I was good. I survived so long. One of them had 25 kills, but i killed the enemy DGs till the last minute (19 kills)

I was a TB, and I was with a UB and an Oak. The other side had THREE rooks, I dunno why I decided to play against them, (I was still nooby at this point in time) and they were obviously a premade. We played on Crucible of all places!

Anyway, as can be expected, they dominated the early game, pushing right to the gold mine by our citadel. Our Oak raqequit, leaving behind an AI Oak with a suicide build with absolutely attack NO power. The rooks devoured him.

I'm not sure exactly how we eventually won. It was pretty epic though. I think the Rooks were pretty new to the game though, I noticed that none of them would try and push to our citadel if I used Circle of Fire - and they bought priests early - so we gradually grew stronger and stronger, until eventually we had all three of them on the run. I'm pretty sure two of them were Tower Rooks, but for some reason they just stopped using them and focused on using pretty weak Hammer Slams and such.

But the most amazing thing was, even though this premade team were obviously going to lose in the most humiliating way possible (slowly but surely, with nothing they could do to stop it), none of them quit. They played right to the very last Citadel HP. This is why Demigod can be such an amazing game to play online.
