Lower End PCs

I am running a lower end PC

1GB Ram

ATI Raedon Xpress 200 Series

2.2Ghz Processer

I was wondering if I will be able to play this game with some decent FPS. It looks very interesting and it may be buggy, but I know it will all get fixed.

With my crappy specs, what kind of FPS can I expect?

Actually assuming you have the Radeon Xpress 200 chipset with integrated graphics chip, it's an X300 based chip which only supports Shader Model 2.0. Shader Model 3.0 is needed to play the game. So sorry to say but I think you will not be able to play the game at all. If for some reason you are able, then expect very low speeds, even on low resolutions and every detail option set to the lowest. At the moment your CPU and GPU seem to be below minimum required specs.

Q: What are the hardware requirements?
A: Minimum System Requirements:
  • Windows XP SP3 / Vista SP1
  • 2.4 GHz Processor
  • 512 MB Available System Memory
  • 8 GB Available Hard Drive Space
  • 128 MB 3D Video Card (ATI Radeon X1600 / Nvidia GeForce 6800 or better)
  • Sound Card
  • Broadband Internet Connection for Multiplayer
  • Stardock's Impulse Required for Updates/Digital Download

Advice: even if you are able to get the game running do not play multiplayer! Your low end PC will lag multiplayer games and ruin the fun for others. Not trying to be an ass here, just telling it how it is.

i surrgest getting a better comp  take your ram of your comp   buy a new comp for about £500  add ur ram too it   make sure it has a graphics card in the 7-8 series of nvidia   and a duo or quad core processor

and u should be fine to play this online

basicaly  your low end comp  wont be able to handle  it

Actually the Xpress chip is for laptops, so keeping the RAM won't be of much help.

Looks like a laptop; and like twifightDG says; I don't you be able to run the game at all; if you are able to; set everything to low.

Your best bet for an idea is using SRTEST

Just looked though and demigod isnt on the lsit but you can compare using battleforge. its pretty close at least

My own experience:

I HAD 3200+ with 1GB of ram, and Ati 9800 pro with 128 meg memory.

The game did not work. At all. It started, but speed was about 1 frame/sec.

Then I got my brothers old computer, 3500+, with 2GB ram, Nvidia 6800 with 256 meg memory.

Now the game works fine. At mimimal settings. And with simspeed 3-6 (depending of map). What supriced me, was how much switching from high quality audio to low quality audio helped to boost the performance.

I would suggest you wait for the demo (that will hopefully be released soon).

I think the bigger issue is the cpu. It's a cpu dependant game. there are lots of little avatars running around that your cpu has to do the processing for. What is your computer? It sounds like a pre-built, what's the model number and brand? Or, in leiu of that, what is the processor? Core 2 duo or quad? An athlon or phenom?

I thought this game was CPU dependent as well since the engine is derived from the supcom engine which is pretty much the biggest cpu hog of a game ever.  However I found out on my wifes pc which is an older single core cpu (athlon xp) that has the pretty much the last APG GPU ever made to prolong its life (ati 3850), the game runs quite fine.  There were some issues however getting it to run as fine as it does though.  The biggest problem is if you have a single core cpu do not run your sound from the motherboard.  It takes up way to much of the cpu so you have 2 options.  Add an actual sound card or run demigod with the /nosound command.  My wife can get a sim speed of 5-7 on her computer running on the largest map in the game mandala.  Before I put in a sound card I found lying around she was lucky if she had a sim speed greater than 0.

Bottom line is this game can run quite fine (constant 30fps) on any map online and offline with a single core cpu with some tweaking.
