Does Queen of Thorns suck?
Idk nobody plays her and she seems to be the least favorite of all. I dont play her, but does she suck?

She kicks ass, but takes a LOT of patience.
she's almost incapable of solo killing another Demigod. she's a fantastic team-mate and great at lane control. she has a bit of a health deficit though and uses alot of mana. still, amazing support DG when paired with a good partner.
what type of strategy should be used with her to best assist the team?
She may not strictly 'suck', but she definitely has one of the most restricting skill sets in the game. The choice between shamblers or not can negate half of her possible skills. Furthermore, uproot is almost strictly worse than ground spikes, so it isn't really viable either.
get shield, follow UB or reg around the map and shield him the whole game.
That sux
If only she was a stronger attacker
Then she would be an assassin. However, she's a general, play her like one. Playing her like an assassin would be like trying to comb your hair with a pitch fork. It might work with effort, but why not just use her as she was designed.
As for how the other generals can become assassins, well that might explain her lack of popularity. It takes more patience and and experience to use QoT effectively.
I play her, she can definetly take on people 1v1 as minion build or support with Shield/Spike. Just max Spike/Shield and avoid shamblers and you'll be as good as Sedna (sept without exploit high priests and a interupt lolwut)
I'm happy to help you out with playin Queen or whatever, shes not bad, just more dynamic then the rest of the Demigods

I tend to like to use QoT as a support assassin.
QoT is a very different demigod to play. I use her plenty and have a lot of fun out lasting my opponent and pushing them off my lanes. Normally she can't kill another DG by herself, but you can easily make them retreat and still have everything you need to stay for another round or two of fights. All of your AoEs have HUGE range as well. So you can easily kill entire waves of creeps and hit every DG nearby.
She does require a lot of mana to keep in the fight though. You might need 2 or even 3 mana helms if you're really active with her. But the lack of extra HP items isn't as bad since you can switch to using shield.
Her skills don't do a huge amount of damage to any single target, but for each additional target you hit with your AoEs, you can consider you skill multiplied.
Early game this support assassin I play tends to be long lasting but very weak due to low mana. Once I get some more mana and level 5 I become useful. And at level 10 you basically max out your normal skill damage. However, from then on you will need to rely more on creeps and other players. Keep in mind that by then your spike wave will be slowing for 20% at a huge range and your ground spikes will reduce 1500 armor on everyone hit. Just use that while a wave of creeps is beating on a tower or a DG and they'll normally take double damage.
Another big thing is being able to change forms while moving. If you aren't attacking and you are missing any mana or hp, then switch to closed mode for the extra regen and toss a shield on you just in case you run into trouble.
I've killed a fully leveled citadel at full hp with just 1 wave of creeps and my ground spikes in 10-15 seconds.
Cloak of Plentiful Mana, Probably the best investment you'll ever make as QoT.
that favor is terrible....
I tried many favor items, I find that this one was the most beneficial for my QoT build, scales well into late game, and saves you tons on potions.
Another one I found amusing was the Cloak of Night, teleport up behind some DGs and fuck them up a bit.
It isn't interuptable, and is a 400% regen bonus to mana which for those that have bonuses and good regen rates is downright epic.
it works not only for you but others you are close to as well. It does NOT suck. Your understanding of the item however, does.
nah its bad, im happy to verse you QoT vs QoT if you want, btw nice ladder rank, 19,605
Botf, Anklet, Divine Might, Cloak of the Night, are all far better choices.
Cloak of Plentiful Mana is really junky, my team has tried it out some even getting it's effects on 2 chars a decent amount. End result, it's a sub-par favor item.
The Cape of Plentiful Mana helps a LOT later on, but only if you coodinate with your team.
Maybe your team is just shit and randomly pops it every time its up *shrug* who knows?
I've tried Cloak of Plentiful mana with QoT and it isn't bad but it isn't all that great. It would really shine late game, but for the first 10-15 levels its only so so. Because you will still need mana helms for a large mana pool and a higher base regen so that 400% will have something to work with. It will keep you form needing a 3rd helm though.
Hey wait, youre bad at the game and you're giving me advise, this makes sense.
I bet you listen to Blues Traveler dont you...dont you....
-Foreshadowed (feel free to look me up on pantheon Aviyur, Ive got a few more games played)
I don't really waste my time looking up nobodies on Pantheon.
How would you guys work a minion build as queen? I can never decide if it's better to buff up shamblers or stick strictly to Morale. Plus there's the question of get spikes and hope to god you don't die trying to debuff their armor, or get lots of shield and hope you live to help your army kill them enemy. I haven't played queen since the trend of Battle Horning has been around and would love the advice.
Sho
You're bad at the game though, not really understanding what youre trying to say
Her minion build can be pretty powerful, but slow. When I go minions I'll level up Shamblers and the shambler damage upgrade primarily. I will also either go with shield or Mulch. Both have their individual uses, though shield will tend to keep you alive longer and has more defensive uses. I will also get at least 1 level if not all 3 levels of compost, which increases shambler damage by a good bit. In the end I'm only normally able to get a few points in stats.
It might be a good idea to switch stats out with ground spikes, but I haven't tried it.
The biggest thing with any pure general build is that you are trying to make your minions stronger, not you. Most people have trouble getting around their DG's survivability. Generals need to stay just far enough out of range from the fight so you can't be hit easily, but close enough for the experience from creeps. Its good to remember that you minions are your prime damage dealers, not you. So as much as you want to add your maybe 200dmg per attack to the mix, sometimes just letting your respawnable minions handle things will be better.
The favor item I got for when using minions as QoT is normally either the +Evasion general item or the Blood Soaked Wand.
You should.
And
Cape of Plenty??? Sux.
Coming from the guy that's lost well...every single game that wasn't his own premade...sure ![]()
