Regulas Snipe ability

Just a small suggestion Regulas arrows should not be able to go through towers, forts or citadels if you are standing behind something and he snipes I think the tower, minion, fort should take the damage.

Just and Idea......

It wouldn't be much of a "snipe" if it did not hit the intended target.

I like the idea.

I think this will not happen because of the limitation of the engine.

Still I hope im wrong :)

Okay... but then what about his arrows that move to follow the enemy, and other people's projectiles and abilities [like fireball from TB] should follow these same rules right?

Also what if you are trying targetting a TB and he has a rook towering in front of him. Does the rook act like a wall preventing the TB from taking damage? That would kind of suck, in my humble opinion.

If you're trying to make the game more realistic, remember that these are Demigods. Interesting idea though. Keep that brain churning!

Don't agree, my suggestion would be that he should not be able to snipe through the fog of war unless he has tracking bug. If the opponent is not within sight he should not be able to get a snipe off. It's annoying to be killed by snipes at lvl 3-4 when you thought you were clear and heading back to the citadel, because the regulus clicked to snipe you 10 seconds ago and finally got in range.

Real world mechanics do not fully apply - they are fighting on a mystical plain!!! Manual states this. It is what allows you to stack helms or armor etc...

Sometimes I don't understand why people want realism in their games. You're fighting a man who sets himself on fire, freezes everyone around him (who, by the way, thaw in 3 seconds and continue functioning) and are paired with a giant walking tower man. You fight over flags that make you stronger, and kill minotaurs to grow stronger. But it isn't quite right, because your arrows go through people?

As soon as they remove the ridiculous ability of Rook to hit people with his hammer that are nowhere remotely near it, I'm cool with line of sight changes, although I believe such changes should be across the board to any "bolt" style attacks, including Unclean Beast's vomit, Torchs' blasts, etc...

I should also add though nice as that may be, that would likely be a pretty low level change to their engine, and doubtful at this stage..

theyre magic arrows...of course they can go through buildings

Alright let's not flame the guy, not saying anyone has but just giving caution.

Pyradius, I definetely agree.

I never understood why it does more damage the further away the target is.

Shouldn't it be the other way around? Don't projectiles lose stopping power the further they travel?

Again, balance over realism. If it dealt lots of damage at close range, it wouldn't be a snipe.

The point of the snipe ability, the thing that makes snipe snipe, is not the damage. It is the range. Which the skill clearly has. It has the most range out of any other demigod ability by far, and after the Heaven's Wrath favor item, it has the longest range in the entire game.

I do not see why it is more "balanced" to make it do more damage the further away the target is.

It emphasizes the fact that Reg will get his ass handed to him if he gets in melee range.

That is not true ^^. QoT's mulch shambler has 15000yards range compared to snipes 90yards.

Reg is pretty much weak, so i don't see why taking damage capabilities away from him would make the game more balanced.

Think of it as a reward for using the snipe, as a snipe.

Because if it dealt less damage at range, people wouldn't use it. At all. It would become like Sedna's yetis.

Sedna has yeti's?

What's wrong with the yeti's??? They are cute and fluffy!!!

Yetis can..Umm... Disarm mines? Yeah, I got nothing.

They should tripple snipes range and double its damage to make people realize just how broken a character can be if designed incorrectly. I think a good representation of this is erubus, with 3 ways of avoiding death, a health transfer/slow/debuff, and a viable minion build, I fail to understand why players can think regulus is ever a problem. Games with regulus rarely are a problem, however games with erubus are constantly a problem.
