When all else fails, sell your stuff!

Considering the AI is a friggin retard and I always feel bad for rage quiting when things are going obviously bad. Lately ive realized I can just sell all my gear as last time effort and upgrade my citadel. In one game I racked in some 15000 and managed to upgrade to giants all by myself. I lost the game due the idiot AI, but I was suprised I managed to stay alive for another 20 minutes, untill a cordinated double lock down of my portals finaly ended my reign of terror.

Ive been trying a similar tactic on early games which are going bad (etc finding yourself fighting an obvious voicechat Premade or being stuck with someone on your team that dies more often than a red shirt in Star Trek) and suprisingly you can actually recover your items back fairly fast. Since you get almost all your money back for selling something, your basicly just exchanging your gear for citadel upgrades. You obviously lose some gold in the exchange, but its nothing compared to the money your giving away to the other team from just ONE death. For those of you new to Demigod, dying is the absolute worst thing you could possibly do to your own team. If you find yourself in a game where your constantly dying, calm down for a couple seconds, check your citadel and see if theres anything you can upgrade there. Then hang around some of the better players in your team and earn some assist and youll have your gear back in no time and actually learn something.

Id especially highly recommend selling ANYTHING to get the Gold income upgrade exactly when you hit rank 3. Theres no point in having good gear if you still get killed by the other side.  Just do your team a favour and pawn your items and upgrade the citadel!

Oftenly practice this. Playing 3v3 and losing the game , one of teammates or me sells all the stuff to upgrade citadels. Helps alot staying in line.

I've done this numerous times, never really made a game changing difference but it did make the game more interesting and hey you may even get the Citadel Upgrade favor.

Yeah, same here, I have done it a few times too, but it never turned the game around.

It does help your favor, because you could get Citadel Upgrades....and what is that screenshot even showing?

StAcK3D_ActR is just grumbly over this match, 2nd time I have seen this pic today on the forums.  The screenshot of the awards would clearly indicate why the losers of the match got so much favor.  http://forums.demigodthegame.com/359274

To clarify something about citadel upgrades and the concept of selling gear to buy them...  The citadel upgrade award has nothing to do with the quality of the upgrades purchased, simply the quantity.  So the people that win this award generally have bought all the first and 2nd tier upgrades (which are cheaper) but they bought more total upgrades.  This is where StAcK3D_ActR might be confused.

WiZZla87's last Pantheon game of Epoch II was a loss versus two AI and myself because before Alkhanavt Disconnected he sold everything and bought Cata's and Giants which I managed to escort onto their citadel.
