WHY AM I LAGGING?!?!?! THIS IS PISSING ME OFF!

Why do i keep laging i dont get it i have a vista computer thats like modern right now and i can play world of warcraft,warcraft and much more games that have graphics like demigod.

 

I downloaded directx 10 but i still keep laging, i can still play but the lag is constantly (i mean like every 2 seconds it lags) and makes it so much harder to play!  I even die sometimes from how much lag i have in this game.

 

Those anyone know how to counter this lag??????@!?@?

 

this lag is getting ridicoulous ill stop playing demigod if i dont find a solution

Are you talking about latency lag or a low frames per second? It it's the latter then you should post your system specs, but FYI, WoW and Warcraft 3 have much lower requirments then Demigod.

WoW and Warcraft ? Is this a joke ? Both of them run on my laptop at high settings...when Demigod doesn't (30fps on low).

Also, no use in downloading dx10, as this game doesn't use it.

You should run a 3dmark06 test, then come back with some results. Anything below 4000 points and you will have a serious fps related problem ingame.

You are talking about a game released in the last 6 months vs ones that are a number of years old!!!

ither you have a really bad framerate or you have a bad connection.

the first would suggest that your system is to low, or your graphics settings are to high.

the second would suggest that your connection isn´t good enough.

 

test the framerate by playing singleplayer. if you already have problems there you really should lower the graphics settings.

as the others said already, demigod has much higher requirements than wow or wc3.

 

if its your connection which causes the problems you should be certain that you are not running any down- or uploads in the background and noone else is using the connection while you play.

you can also run a speedtest to check if your connection is good enough: www.speedtest.net

does it lag in a 2vs2 too? or just in 5on5? the more players, the more likely it is to lag.
