How do you deal with a good Senda and UB team build?

As the title suggests, how or what are some good strategies to beat, or at least put up a good fight agaisnt a well organised Sedna and UB team.  I play mostly in a premaid with a buddy and we seem to do ok.  We use Oak (minion build) and Rook (tower build) and work well together against most.

Unfortunately we have some trouble with the Sedna and UB team especially if Sedna plays the support/healing role and UB the tank.

We just can't seem to come up with a successful strategy to hold our own against them.  Especially if they are good players.  Any ideas keeping in mind the Oak / Rook combo we use.

What are the supposed builds of the sedna/UB combo? Does sedna get minions? Does UB get Ooze? If not, I would reccommend one of you play a general (any general) and go for a minion build. I've found Oak to be useful myself, as well as Erebus, but I don't play a good QoT or Sedna, so I can't really comment on them.

The thing about tower rook is that he holds well in early game, but sucks terribly in the later stages, when the other 3 Demis are most likely blooming. Thus you may want to switch to a different demi for this particular fight.

Also, if you two play a good torchbearer combo, you can simply outpush them, but you'll lose every time you get into direct confrontation.

Well, my partner and I use UB + Sed specifically because we think its the strongest, so uh, I'm not surprised to hear you say this, but I'm not sure exactly what to tell you. I wouldn't use Rook if I were you, hes weak for 2v2s. If you could convince your friend to use a different DG, Oak + LE is the other great 2v2 combo, in my experience. Its not a direct counter but it'll get you close enough to try to win by outplaying them.

Regulus with Poisoned Dagger can cause issues. Minion erebus can also be a pain.

I play Sed/UB as well and the only time we struggle is when we try something strange. Like Sedna not buying items and just tanking the Beast...

(it doesn't work very well)

Uhh.

  1. Get more grunts/minions asap as Sedna and Spit UB are gimped vs them.
  2. Focus on Sedna or have enough burst to lay waste to UB.
  3. It is enough to interrupt ONE of Sedna's heals to change the outcome of combat. Wait until she heals, count to around 6sec and then anticipate the next heal.
  4. QoT + UB combo will be a lot stronger than Sedna+UB in early-mid game.

The problems with your builds is that you have no burst fire. Towers+Minions are the opposite of burst fire and this is what is needed to take down Demigods who have support demigods as their healbots. You should move to stun/hammer slam for rook in level 6+ and Oak should stack more auto attack damage instead of focusing on spirits doing all his dirty work. Get in there.
