Ideas to satisfy casual and competative players

I have some ideas...  I'm a bit lazy to see which of these are already suggested

Native VOIP... let me chat with my team... or even help them out

Don't forget the mute!!  I know this is coming

Friendlist... I've had this since Age of Empires... for the love of god

I think is is already planned...  definitely needs to be in game (Impulse SUCKS)

Lobby Stats... So I don't have to alt tab and crash 5% of the time

Hold mouse over name in lobby to see important stats.  Win/Loss total and most importantly DISCONNECTED GAME COUNT

Premade detection - I wouldn't mind going against a pair... but I would want to stick the new guy with them.

If 2 or more players play more then XX% of their games together (on the same team) they are highlighted in the same color.  (could be XX% in the past YY days)

Another possibility

If 2 or more players played together (same team) in the past X games they are highlighted in the same

In lobby stat browser an alternative to hover over stats

I really need to know who I'm playing with...  at least to make sure teams are fair

Native VOIP - not needed, vent works fine, and is really preffered than trying to re-develop the wheel.

Friendlist - Impulse has some kinks, but I'd rather them be smoothed out so they work well with all impulse games, than to try and get some list going in Demigod.  Do you know how long it took steam to get a working mesaging/friend list feature going?

Lobby Stats - I would loooove to see a simple ladder ranking, or something, next to names in lobbies.  It would really help when making up fair matches.

Premade detection - Very tricky to do.  I like the idea of a premade matchmaking system, and the proposed randomized team section will also help.

Lobby Stat Browser - Impulse could do with an in-game browser, to be used with all their games. :)

i have to disagree with this... a built in VOIP system is better than vent for 2 reasons...

1st... means random pubs can chat and play insync as a team...

2nd... being able to switch between team chat and all chat if much easier when its in game rather than over vent..

VOIP

Vent is great for chatting with friends

Native VOIP is a msut for getting new plays interested and for experienced players to help them out.  Typing simple concepts over... and over... and over... takes away from my playing time.  It would be a hit for some of those US/EU games but planning ahead with a simple QoS priority for game traffic (internally throttle VOIP if latency spikes detected) are wonders.

A lot of VOIP stuff is open domain and easily integrated into any game.  It's the performance hit I am most worrie about.

Premade

I don't think premade detection would be so hard.  You can look at a player's game history and see if any of his current teamates played in his last game.

Stats

I would take a horrible player that will listen to advice over a rage quitter any day.

All are great ideas, I would be really glad if we get any of this feauters in the future^^
I would also like to see a chat in the "Select a game lobby", that way you can see how many (and what) people are waiting for a game (thats why i think this and the "Stats" idea are a good combo)
