"Fix" leavers

Seriously.. last 4 games our team did well.. all these games around the 6 minute mark BAM someone randomly leaves (or one time a noob was asked in a friendly manner to change his "tactics"). offcourse they always leave on my team, and its to late to leave so it wont count, so im stuck with a retarded (seriously worst AI i have ever seen. ) feeding AI, that buys useless citadel upgrades

You want customs (or anything really)  ranked when one random idiot can make the team lose by leaving ?  Well my rank stinks enough as it is right now. Some might have played with/against me and know that atleast when i play my Oak im not really that bad, but hanging at 26K rank because ALL the friggin time someone on my side either leaves or needs explaination on how to WALK in this game, it really doesnt depict my personal "skill" level much.

So yeah im sure this is the 100th or 10000000e20 post about such things, but i need to vent this, because im not really feeling the fun in stats that only show how much idiots join my team

well these's nothing anyone can do about this. And no gameplay changes would help either. If someone wants to leave, they're ganna leave. It sucks because it hurts RTS type games the most when a teammate leaves. The other possibility that you have to look at is that some of those leaves might actually be drops or crashes. And unfortunately there's no way to tell the difference.

What can be done is having it display a "Leave Rating" next to players' names.  If somebody drops in too high a percentage of games, it shows up next to their name and everybody knows it.  That way you can at least avoid people who consistently ruin games without having to check everybody out in a browser ahead of time.

Yeah i know.. Its just frustrating. The match i just played we won.. and i didnt get a win on my stats. The game wasnt recorded at all. Its fun.. really :p I wonder how my rank would be if it would just "know" true player skill

stats are totally borked
you will sleep better at night the second you stop caring about them

Yeah.. Im sure of it :P Its just that i have no real indication of my real skill level...

At times i just feel like i should be joining noob games, just because i got stomped by a premade who coordinate spike dmg, while constantly running around shielding the reg because he thinks 200hp is plenty hp to get away from a 3V1

While in most noob teams i could play QoT and only use auto attack and still win the confrontation 80% of the time. When the stats dont work, people hardly ever compliment their allys/enemys on anything, and i dont have much (1) friends that play this game im left in the dark.

And it doesnt change the fact that the rankings will never indicate anything of worth, as long as the groups are random.. Simply because individual skills is completely lost in a team full of noobs. Last night i had a game in which i won all the awards that were there... except Winner. 0 deaths, some 15 kills, assists out the wazoo...  But i lost because i was the only one that understood the importance of flags, getting more then 2K hp VS a mine reg with snipe... well the list goes on.

I think i just need to find a solid group of people and wait for team automatch :p

I just wish they had some kind of unranked games, then I would just shrug my shoulders when someone leaves or hosts a premade.  As it is now, if your tolerant/friendly to new players or random pugs, you'll get a horrible ranking.  And if you could care less if someone hosts premades (like me), then be prepaired for a near 100% loss rating (especially if the hosts quit if losing).

I did'nt really care about stats at first, but, if they do start showing stats in the lobby, I'll look like I use a brail keyboard. . .

Hehe yeah exactly. I dont look forward to the day people see my rank... While im still the only oak on my team ive seen shielding(or even picked shield)  a team mate. Guess we'll have to wait n see how they do it

Ya, well, just played my first MP online in quite a while.  Teammate RQ after second death.  Sigh.  But we eneded up giving the other team a decent run for their money anyway till the end.  Still, that means 100% loses still here.  :\

I know I'd give you the benifit of the doubt with 27 wins / 35 losses. That would indicate to us that you're a good player with a bad stroke of luck when it comes to teammates.

I could be 100/0 win/loss ratio and it wouldnt indicate anything. I could be lucky with my teammates far as you know...

Ah well.. at some time in the future i`ll have played with mostly anybody and then they might know im not to bad :p

Yeah so what? If you're 100/0 and was lucky with teammates that atleast means you weren't a burden on the team. Meaning that if you're playing with a good team there's a high probability that you won't lose the game. Am I wrong here? I consider myself and my friends a good team so I would take someone like that onboard as a 3rd or a 4th.

Win/lose ratio implies enough especially if the numbers are close, or heavily skewed to winning. Most humans have the ability of inference and logical deductions based on experience :P

They just need to replace leavers with NIGHTMARE LEVEL AI.. because there at least the AI is cheating enough so they CAN outlevel some folks :p

Ah well you have a point there. I hope people think like that :P

But it does amaze me how many people are just terrible players.... Today i had a teammate who had about 600 hp, and decided to harass a spit UB and there was a sniping regulus on their team too... Meh... i need to get myself a team :p

There needs to be a "Noob Night" or something like that.  In WoW, we had Noob-Nights on Thursdays in our guild; they flocked there.  It was a big draw cause the new people did'nt feel so bad about messing up, and the experienced players that showed up knew in advace team wipes were the theme for the night.  And the "Win Only" crowed steared clear (which was even better).

What 100% loss you were awsome when i played a match with you I think it was b4 the reset though :(.

Thanks Bane, and yes, before reset.  But I had a not-so-good ranking before that too, because I never cared who I played with (and I had no idea that all games = stats recorded).  Now, between RQs, premades quitting to get the win, playing with noobs to help them (and, of course, just plain old losing because we lost fairly), I have 100% loss rating.

If they just had some type of unranked game, then I could help the newbs; play against a group of friends, and then play a ranked game to kick some butt.
