I just bought the game two days ago and so far it is marginally playable for me. While my system is not the newest gaming rigs out there, it does exceed the minimum and recommended hardware for the game. I am running the game using the /nosound command with the video settings at the minimum. The game is unplayable with sound on. Still in battles with more than 10 units, my frame rate drops to 1 or less fps. I get a couple of clicks in, then wait to respawn most of the time. The game even crawls along when I overclock my system
On Supreme Commander, my system run the game perfectly fine. Only on the largest maps with 750 or 1000 unit caps and 7 AI players does the game bog down to about 1/2 speed.
I started monitoring my system performance with performance manager. This game is fully maxing out my #1 processor and only using 10% or less of my other three processors. Demigod is supposed to have multi-core support. Why is it not utilizing the other three processors?
