I need help starting the game

I just bought DemiGod and installed it on my HP laptop. I have an Intel(R) GMA 950 video card and I thought it would work. My driver is completly up to date and I have DirectX 9.0c. When I try to run the game it says Unable to create Direct3D please check that the video driver is up to date. I think it has to do with my video card but I'm not sure and I can't replace the card because it's part of the motherboard. Is there anyway I can tone down the game so I can play? I can't return the game now that it's open. Please Help

Graphics cards which are integrated into motherboards are not designed for playing high end video games.
You need to invest in a graphics card for your pc, probably an entire new pc, or just return the game for a refund.

From what I understand, having an integrated graphics card directly on your motherboard is the lowest of the low when it comes to graphics.

What I mean to say is, your computer was not build for playing any games, not just demigod.

Sorry, the GMA950 does not meet the minimum requirements and is not capable of running the game; you would need to buy or find a more powerful machine to run it. If the store will not take the game back and you purchased it within the past 30 days, you can contact [email protected] about getting a refund directly from us.

Halo is a game that came out YEARS ago... They have done HALO 2 and 3 since then!!!

Make sure hardware acceleration is set to full.

The problem is that you're using an onboard chip, and as such have an inherantly weak video card. To avoid buying games that can't be handled again, I recommend you do the following:

Press start->run.

Type in 'dxdiag' (without the quotes)

This lists your hardware specs, ranging from graphics card power, to processor speed, to RAM. Enjoy!
