My God will not stop attacking? Hot Dog OAK has gone CRAZY!!

So..I was just playing on Cata, game was a bit laggy, nothing new there....but..my toon would not stop attacking..i.e. once I starting fighting..It would not let me break off..it looked like it tried too actually 'honor' my click a couple of times (of cource  I clicked a million times to try and break out)....but it felt like it saw my click..started to turn to goto that location..then immediatly it started fighting again...hence I died 2 times within the first 3 minutes..at which..point I just bailed on the game...

 

also..backspace key stopped working in chat..I've seen the backspace issue...before..not sure if its related though.

This happened again today..once I stated attacking anything..I could not break off, it started right from teh start the game, and didn't fix itself after the my first death. (I was playing oak again). (and just like above..backspace also didnt work in chat).

I had this issue happen a couple of games ago, except that neither "q" nor "e" worked, and I couldn't move the screen. And then my demigod quit responding. I ended up having to leave just because I couldn't play...the issue happend again in SP, but was gone as soon as I restarted demigod.

That's known issue (for players at least) :).
Well, I have a good news for you guys. After game start, always check Q/E keys or backspace on chat. If they don't work, you can easly fix it by... alt-tab out of the game and alt-tab back to the game. All will be fine then. The only thing you will lose after this, is distance of skills - skills distance red circles will dissapear i'm affraid :(. Still it's much better this way than playing with bugged camera/backspace/char control keys...

This bug sometimes happens when you alt-tab in lobby before game start, and the game (God knows why) won't refresh after alt-tab in right way. Oh, and when you are bugged, backspace key won't work in lobby too (so you can check in lobby if you are bugged even before game start). I have a habit right now to always check backspace key in lobby after alt-tab. If it won't work, just alt-tab again and check it again.

BTW: NEVER alt-tab out of the game when the map is loading - game likes to crash then !!

hmm, dunno if this helps, but i had this, might be related:

 

I used to use Alt as my press to talk key for vent. Guess what alt also does in Demigod :)

 

Ill tell: it makes you attack everything around you, your god will even turn around to hit stuff behind him. Nice way to go if your being chased, yelling help into Vent, only to see your guy turn around, and die horribly.
