Could someone clarify the first 3mins rule for me please?

When playing Panth, being in AU and the timezones and all, i tend to come across alot of EU players. As one could imagine the ping is often unplayable, often being 500+.

Now is when one concedes the match in the first the 3mins or quits the game outright in the first 3 mins that the game does not get recorded?

Or am i wrong all together?

I seem to be getting losses no matter what way i exit the game. And i am doing so well inside the 3 minute mark.

Of course it could be the stats being screwed up as they are from time to time too.

This would be a moot point if matchmaking worked a little better. AU should not connect to EU at all, or at least somehow allow us to set that limitation ourselves...if possible. 300-400 pings seems to be ok from AU, but once you get to +400 or +500 there is little point, IMHO anyway.

Someone set me straight please?

Cheers.

Here's my understanding (which might be incorrect).  I'm pretty sure that all players on a team have to quit before 3 minutes have gone by for a game to not be recorded.  I'm not sure, but I think you have to hit end game (but concede might work).  And, if you are host, due to the current bug/exploit, all you have to do is hit end game (I read somewhere from Kryo that this bug might be resolved as of the next hotfix (due soon)).

if everyone concedes before 3 mins the game is recorded as N/A or basically just an unranked match and does not go against stats or ladder ranking.

I tested it out myself, even if you quit at 2:59 game time, so that it reads 2:59 on the end game screen, the game is counted as ranked.

For a game to be counted as unranked, I recommend the entire team pressing CONCEDE (not end game) before 1 minute of in game time.

The 3 mins start counting down as soon as the loading screen appears.

Ok thanks guys. So at least in one of my situations, where my dark side partner had comparable ping to the enemy, he choose to play it out, giving us the loss.....oddd, but ok.

I try not to make a habbit of this practice but when faceed with unplayable ping it does not make it easy. I'd love to see some kind of script for the matchmaking that takes ping into account. +500 is just not worth playing with, it works yes....but is it fun....no.

Thanks again guys.

I had a pantheon game where everyone BUT me conceded and it still went NA...
