Can't download patch: Downloaded file invalid

Whenever i try to update the game to the latest patch just when the download ends i get an error saying "Downloaded file invalid. MD5s do not match server".

i tried downloading the patch 5 times but i always get the same error. rebooting and trying again also didn't help.

is it possiable to get a web link to the patch until this issue is resolved?

This issue is typically caused by malware, overeager antivirus programs, or bad memory. You might try doing a full system scan, then downloading with AV disabled.

Problem solved, i uninstalled and then reinstalled the game. game is now patch and working.

next time it'll happen i'll try to update with AV disabled.

hmmm same here.  uninstall and reinstall demigod / impulse wont update either.  invalid MD5 hash check.

 

well I guess its fate but I got into the HON beta so GG stardock ya have to be a tad more resilient if ya cant download properly when people have anti virus your not doing it right.  The HON beta seems of superior quality to 1 month post release demigod GPG get your stuff together S2 is out doing you.

 

gonna try with AVG off and report back.

nope avg off adaware off punkbuster off steam off etc....

 

erm... there has to be a way to do this manually correct?  any demigod patches floating around on the interwebs?

 

this is the only game that is giving me trouble.

still an issue I dont know how many times I uninstalled and reinstalled.  Hope they give me a new HDD after all this :)

Has anyone found another resolution to this other than reinstalling? Any kind of manual fix maybe?

i've reinstalled both the game and Impulse multiple times and have AV and all firewalls on both my computer and router disabled, but still get the invalid file message.

I also tried uninstalling only Impulse and downloading a version that wasn't attatched to my installed game and received the same invalid file msg.

I'm about 20 mins away from giving up and returning the game. Any suggestions as to how to fix this would be great, I'm totally at a loss.
