Super Slow LAN

I have two 3ghz WinXP machines with pretty good graphic cards.  Whenever I try and play a LAN game it starts out fine but soon lags into unplayability.  We have reduced the graphic options and resolution to the minimum and tried playing a small map like Prision.  No joy, it soon becomes unplayable.  I'm able to play Pantheon 4v4 on the Internet with full graphic options on on either machine with no significant lag.  Any thoughts out there on what could be going wrong?  Thanks for any help.

p.s.  The NICs are connecting to the switch at 100MB and there seems to be no throughput problem with a copy test.

Did you have AIs in the game?

Sorry for the long reply, but I have the one that I bought installed on my PC also installed on the other PC.  Which I thought was legal for LAN games if that is what you were asking?

What are the actaul specs?  I suspect 1 may be single core?

Yes, it is perfectly legal to use 1 copy for your home lan party.

One is a AMD 64, the other is a Intel Duo Core (the host)

More detail would help.   Can you please follow this link in Internet Explorer to gather those log files:

http://sd.stardock.com/Demigod_report.zip

Save the file, run it, and attach the .zip file (located under YOUR USERNAME\My Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Demigod\report) it generates to an e-mail to [email protected]

Some email services restrict .zip attachments.  If your email won't allow you to send the file, simply change the file extension from .zip to .zzz, and it should send without issues.

If the AMD64 is a single core, that would be your issue.
