Death penalty citadel upgrade needs an ultimate...

Choose your spawn location!

Death penalty citadel upgrade = total waste of gold.  That's terrible.

The final spot on death penalty should allow dead players to spawn anywhere they want.  While they're dead they can ghost around and choose their spot.

OR... from the very first rank, players can choose their spawn point but it has to be within 15 meters of the health crystal.  Further ranks would increase the spawn range.

OR... in addition to reducing respawn time, these upgrades would grant extra gold when your team kills an enemy DG.

lol ... 600 gold is nothing for first rank anyway. just buy it ... not a massive dint in ur pocket. i reckon its only useful if u think the game s going to be a good game where 2-3 deaths r crucial.

lol at ryan ... u would say something like that.

I dunno...i kinda like the idea of picking respawn locale. But...only in the AOE of the crystal...and you pick it once on your first death and it stays there for the rest of that game.

That being said...ive never bought a death penalty upgrade and never will.......

I really don't understand the point of the Death Penalty upgrade... if your team doesn't die much you don't need it, if you're teams dieing lots, at least when they're dead they're not currently feeding

Hmm.. I think the Death Penalty upgrade really doesn't scale well. In the late game, even with two levels, you're still out of the game for a good thirty seconds. I think the entire upgrade needs to be re-thought personally, as it currently stands it's got to be the least picked upgrade.

Perhaps instead of it effecting the amount of time you're down for, it changes the level of rewards your opposition gets for killing you. This would make it an effective tool against teams which are getting beaten down. Just a thought.

OR you could just discuss the idea and give something constructive but I guess that's not everybody's cup of tea...

I like ZehDon's idea, that would reduce the enemies gain on killing you somewhat. However it might be that and reduced time untill spawn maybe?

I am not sure about the respawn where you want idea, but that upgrade sure needs some love. Also, when you die in the middle of a heated battlefield, the 30ish seconds that you have to spend watching a blured map are quite boring...

Lol stupid children, u guys talk about the ifs and what ifs knowing to well the dev's of this game arnt gonna listen to your silly little ideas, what i do, is give the FACTS!!!!

my suggestion:

simply remove this upgrade! maybe put a totally different one in there... or not.

i have an alternate idea for this upgrade.

Maybe call it 'vengeance'. If an ally is dead, all other team mates gain 5%/10%/15% dmg (does not stack), During death time.

Honestly it's true... I've never been a game where i've purchased the Death Penatly out of necessity. Now i'm not a 'pro' DG player but i don't think it's too hard to know when you're going to die and when you can push/pursue.

In my opinion I feel that if you really think you need to upgrade, maybe you should evaluate why yo'ure dying so much to actually need the upgrade.

I think all the other u pgrades at the citadel are much more imerative than the death penalty upgrade.

And, if/when you get to level 20, the death penalty should give you more gold, instead of more XP.

Just don't die ! It's right how it is!

Oh please... Sometimes you have to make a sacrifice etc etc. The subject isn't about that. The subject is about something that already is in the game and might be needed to be changed. Discuss that instead of posting worthless comments, please.

Or how about, when you die, buying a death penalty upgrade means that you still recieve a portion of the gold/maybe exp (from assists?) you would be recieving if you weren't dead. The final upgrade would mean you got 100% of the gold/exp you should have gotten.
