what kind of combination gives this?

When playing nightmare sometimes (not always even if they're all lvl 20) one enemy usually at level 10 gets some items that makes them run extremly fast, much faster than anything else in the game (not just wand-duration) and can go into our base and tank 4 demigods (with crap items) and all towers without losing more than max 10% health. I the AI had been any good he/her would kill the citadel with this set, but it doesn't. I guess there is some combination of artifacts, but what can it be? After that this demigod will kill my teammates constantly, since nothing can touch him/her. I have been able to counter this late-game with askandor, godplate, fathersring, and some other artifacts, but that's when I get 20 or so kills rather early. It seems to be bugged, expecially that extreme walkspeed.

appriciate any ideas.

last game regulus got this super item and got 35 kills (his allies got 3,4 and 4). And no, he didn't get ahead in kill until he got this superspeed-item.

Could possibly have been Journeymen's Treads.  Those are the expensive boots in the shop with 15% passive speed boost and some sort of super speed boost proc that happens every so often, and special proc will make you fly...no kidding.  Combine that with swift anklet favor item, boots of speed, and your all father's ring and you'll be a track star.

My favourite speed item is wand of speed, which gives you a temporary +25% buff. I like it because you only need speed in certain situations, and it doesn't take up an armor slot.

And yeah, the boots mentioned above has a 5% chance on hit to give a +50% runspeed buff. This procs pretty reliably when fighting if you have reinforcements hitting you.

I've heard there's a speed cap but I don't know what it is. I'm sure wand of speed plus the +50% from the boots would get you somewhere in the ballpark of it though.

Thank you guys, that explains the speed actually, forgot the bonus on the boots.

Oh, and iirc, the speed cap is 14.0. I can't guarantee that is right, but that's what I have heard.

Also, as discussed before in the forums, AI demigods at least in single player mode, can buy more items then we have slots, so they could be very well be running around stacked like sh*t

my favorite build is a Speedy Oak.  i Start with the favor item swift anklet and purchase boots of speed.  by lvl ten, after getting upgrades and such, i can get the journymans treads.  all of these together give me a basic speed of 8.6.  when the journy activates combined with Surge of Faith, my speed can hit 12.5 making it easier to run back to base than carry healing pots.  also no demi god can out run it.

The speed cap is 14 for sure. Its hard to get there but its possible (at least for UB with the right items). however, stacking speed doesn't give you a big advantage in battle as much as stacking health and armor for example.

sure, but this was about nightmare AI, killing the rest of the team and run away over and over again.
