When I logon to a multiplayer game it always uses my account logon in game, not a made profile. How can I use a profile instead? Creating and choosing a profile before going multiplayer appears to do nothing. Thanks for any help. 
So only the Impulse account name can be used in multiplayer? Aside from that seeming like a security risk, how do I go about changing my Impulse account name? If that has to be my multiplayer name I might as well have it be an actual name.
I dont know about changing your impluse account. I would suggest emailing stardock support center about it while you wait for someone who may be better informed than me.
on forums click My Account -> Login -> change username.
can take a while to update sometimes but it works.
It would be good if you could enter a "play under" name that it used instead of your Impulse account name - Sins allows this (technically up to 5 per serial number)
