Ladder Experience

I think it is just the amount of favor points you gather. I cannot really back that up though. My rank went to 1000ish after just 16 or so games. After that I would not know what other stuff gets into your rank. I think this xp is just favor points.

Then again the rank would be a function of the number of games played if that were true, and I think it is not quite that simple...

basically its FUBAR, and the quicker you stop caring about ladder rank and experience, the quicker you will start enjoying the game.


theoretically, you get more exp when you beat higher exp players, and you lose more exp when you lose to lower exp players than you.

however at the moment it seems to be 10 per win and 100 per loss ish so the only way to go high is basically to never lose.

p.s. ladder rank and experience points have NOTHING to do with favor points.

So 10 per win and 100 per loss would mean you would need ten in eleven games to break even with xp so that it not really it either.

which yeah is kinda what it takes to go up in rank.

maybe 10 per win and 50 per loss is more realistic though, so 5 wins + 1 loss = break even

Ive been questioning the ladder myself, Ranking and Experiance, but more so how someone with no ranked games at all would be a higher rank than you. There around 16000 ranked folks all with 1000 ladder exp and no recorded games....

Stats are indeed broken.....and if the whole Pantheon is to mean anything they need to look at the rankings and how they are recorded and calculated...at least IMHO.

Otherwise...why have them at all?

Yeah, I don't like the fact that my experience level, and thus my ranking, drops every time I play regardless of whether or not I get a win because I don't have 10 times as many kills as deaths.

The other side of the coin is when you see people with 50:50 wins losses in the top 10 on Pantheon

I got +1 for winning one pantheon game and then -80 for losing one.

Thanks for all the replys.  Maybe I'll just hope that when they introduce clans and team ranking that will do some serious work on have ranks that actually mean something.....anybody think that clan support is coming anytime soon?
