Good game. Not great, but good enough to keep me interested while waiting for the next good game.
I'd be a LOT more into it if it wasn't so damn buggy!
Latest problem: My girlfriend and I go to log in and play today, and it's telling her that her username or password is wrong. What? Okay... so I try logging in with her account on my PC. Nope, same thing. Try her old account name.. nope, same thing. Change password - nope, same thing! (Note: My account had been working fine THE ENTIRE TIME as well as seeing and joining games) This is the third time this has happened since we got the game.
Couple hours later it randomly started working again.
What's up with this? Why is an account inextricably linked to your CD-key? What's the problem with the tried and true method of Battle.net with WC3/Starcraft? CD-Key is linked to your install. That's it. One cd-key on the game servers at a time - no problem with piracy. (No more than Starcraft/WC3 that is, and they're still selling pretty damn well after how many years?)
Why are we unable to play if there is a system-side glitch with our account? Why can't we just make a new account temporarily and play that? Speaking of which, why are we relegated to ONLY one account? Yeah, yeah, people could pretend they're better or worse by making new accounts.. but is that really worth all this trouble?
Frankly I think you guys had a real winning formula with the game here, but you screwed up a LOT with stability, connection issues, and DRM. Yes, this lame account linking crap is NOT a convenient way to track your stats, it's a terrible form of DRM. And it's failing.
